"Stayed here for my birthday as wanted somewhere close to Frome and Stourhead. Lovely room with everything you need; sympathetically restored old building with 5 bedrooms. Bed very comfortable and shower very good. Stayed for an evening meal and enjoyed the lovely breakfast."

"The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

The only downside (and it was quite a downside) is that our room was above the kitchen and the door was on an automatic closer which meant it slammed every time it shut. And this started at about 7.00 in the morning...."

"It was a great stop for us in our walk in the area . Staff very kind and friendly , food tasty (we had the homemade curry ) . Drinks were also good we had a draught beer and cider. It’s lovely to find people taking on a business and improving it . We didn’t use it but there is a large car park and garden at the rear "

"We really enjoyed meeting Janine and Mark (and Benji of course!) They are super hosts, so helpful and friendly and we felt very relaxed during our stay. The Room in the Garden is stunning, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. My wife has some mobility issues and she found it very accessible, only a couple of steps to reach the room and a small step up to the large shower area. We cannot recommend this accomodation highly enough and we will certainly book...

"Property is in a lovely setting, with a great view. I found it homely and comfortable and pleasantly quiet surrounded by farmland. Facilities were as described. My only small gripe was having to hold up the toilet seat whilst having a pee! The staff were friendly and relaxed. I will happily stay there again."

"We felt that the owners were not enthusiastic hosts. We were not shown half the facilities shown on the website, jut our room and the breakfast room. The breakfasts were average to poor (a dreadful poached egg ruined the smoked salmon it was served with). The TV in our room did not work, the picture was pixellated on all channels.."
