The hotel was everything I expected. Luxurious, well appointed, attentive, friendly staff and handy to everything. Bus stop right at door but an easy stroll to shops, beach and other lovely hotel dining options. Very low key, good for couples but not families as the pool is only a lap pool and no tour desk or shops on site.

We had a 2 night stay between holidaying on Kawaii and flying back to Australia. The hotel has a great atmosphere, great facilities and is a short walk along the beach from Waikiki so it is away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough to be involved. It is also just a short walk from Ala Moana shopping centre. There is also a bus 6 or 8 that goes between Ala Moana shopping centre and Waikiki for $2.50 if you don't feel like walking. We had a partial sea view on the Waikiki side that enabled us to watch the fireworks that happen every Friday night from our balcony. The room was a good size and well laid out. The only issue we had was the bed furniture sticks out a bit and it is easy to knock your shin if you are not careful.

Our party of three arrived 2 hours before check in time, our room was ready, we were expected and warmly welcomed. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room itself was very clean, and housekeeping did a wonderful job, the full kitchen was a bonus.
We were invited to take part in lei making on Wednesday morning, compliments of the hotel which was a great experience and got to take our lei's home.
When we checked out, we were surprised to be presented with a shell necklace each, a lovely gesture.

Excellent resort! It is on the rainy side of the island, but the resort is BEAUTIFUL and the staff is excellent. There is easy access to other parts of the island and the resort has free kayaks and snorkeling equipment you can use there during the day, or take the snorkeling equipment out to some other great turtle locations on the island. It is the only place (I'm pretty sure) that tourists can stay on that part of the island, so you really get to experience the local culture. I highly recommend Paradise Bay Resort!
