"Please do not stay at this property. Customer service is at the forefront of a quality experience, and this is sadly lacking here. It will ruin everything else, no matter how good it is. Had a family emergency and required to change a few things. Had issues with the booking and tried to get in contact with the property via e-mail. No response to two e-mails. "Beautiful historic house in the heart of Auckland. Our host was wonderful: friendly, good conversation, deep knowledge about Auckland, and makes truly fluffy scrambled eggs."

"We booked through Hotels.com well in advance of our visit but on arrival Bryan was not expecting us. Fortunately there was a room available. A nice continental breakfast was left out for us which was cereal, croissant, apple puffs or toast. We had a decent sized room with bathroom and toilet down the corridor. This would have been shared but there were no other residents when we stayed. The bed was very comfortable. Bryan was v. helpful and provided a list of local restaurants and take always."
