"We came to Virginia from Michigan for our friend to visit with family she hadn’t seen in 12 years they live on Vetrans hwy. this was about as close as we could get a rental. It was wonderful. Had every amenity. Very clean. Well decorated and not broken down like some rentals. Hot tub was lovely. "What a great place! Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we couldn’t hang outside by the fire pit but the screened in porch is a nice extension of the home. The hosts reached out to make sure everything was going well and it was. There is a gas station/cafe around the bend and the cafe has really good food, especially for breakfast. The gas station has hunt brothers pizza and that was good as well....

"The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience."

"Everything in the listing was very accurate, from the electric to the water pressure. HIGHLY recommend 4wd or awd. He's not kidding about the road. "Very clean not even cobwebs on the high ceilings! Cozy but spacious. The stairs to the loft bedroom are so neat. Decorated very well. The large new deck has great views of Mtns/lake. We got to hear rain on the metal roof and see lightning bugs in the trees. Host was a fantastic communicator. There is a great list of things to do in the area on the fridge. 3 adults stayed comfortably with our own rooms and there is 2 living rooms. Definitely 5 stars worthy!!"
