"One of a kind, large, five star bed and breakfast near to restaurants, downtown! Hosts were amazing to talk with and breakfasts were delicious. Rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally specious! Hot showers with excellent water pressure. Quiet with gardens all around. Amazing views! You can’t beat this place!! Well come again and again! Ruth"

"Beautiful property and very friendly owners. The room and common areas were spacious and private. The grounds are well kept, and the house is about to undergo maintenance which should polish it up - not that it needs much. Breakfast was sensational - big serves and really high quality. The owner was very friendly offering site seeing advice when asked, and helping me make a doctors appointment when I got ill (nothing to do with them). Beautiful, I'll go back for sure."

"Large but still slightly cluttered room. Hotplate and small kitchenette but no sink (plastic bowl) and a fold out table. Freeview TV. Suitable for a night or two but less so for a long stay. Two Fat Possums nearby does wonderful takeout Pizza but very popular on weekend for dine in. Bakery in same shopping centre is superb."

"The hosts were excellent - very welcoming and went the extra mile for our kids when they asked to pat the dog or for a hot chocolate at breakfast time. The five-o-clock wine time was a lovely chance to chat with other guests from around the world. Very convenient location. Only downside is that it's an older building so the noise from Christchurch's boy racers can be irritating at night. A minor problem. We would definitely stay again."

"Nice property. Very quaint heritage home. Liked the hosts and breakfast. Located close to the CBD, with an uber trip to the CBD costing about $11 (or a half hour walk if you prefer). The shared bathroom is a bit inconvenient for the price but otherwise good."

"This is just a normal family house let out in rooms. It is not a guest house or hotel. One room has en suite the orhers share a bathroom. Shared kichen etc. Owner lives elsewhere and tried to move us from the en suite room we had booked. We stayed one night then moved elsewhere."

"I arrived at the property and the owner came out after an hour to tell me that he knows nothing about this ad being advertised and refused us entry to the property. Gareth is the room mate of the owner. Gareth doesn't answer his phone or his messages. I'm now trying to get a refund.. don't stay here at all unless you want to lose your money"

The neighborhood looks a bit down and somewhat creepy at late night; trading off with walking distance to the playground, shopping district and variety of bars/restaurants. 2BR equipment is a bit inconvenient: Pots & pans provided are too small for a family. No AC, only 1~2 heater(s) in the living room but not in the bedroom."

"Loved our stay in the hotel the bath was a real highlight! Really clean and it was quieter than I thought being directly next to such a busy junction. Anyway what we found a bit sad was that takeaway in the rooms are kind off not allowed, cause of the smell, that’s what we got from the info in the room, that was a bit sad as it was really rainy and we had our dinner in the car which was not really as we thought it would be and was not really romantic. As I do housekeeping myself in hotels 4*...
