"A lovely restful stay in beautiful surroundings."
I arrived quite late from the airport but I had a supper tray made up for me and brought to my room. I woke every morning to the moon dropping off the horizon. I walked most mornings through Lapad on the Coastal route to the the Dubrovnik President Hotel setting me up for breakfast and the rest of the day. I took the bus into the old city either for evening concerts or a late supper and visited a number of exhibitions too. I will most likely visit again next year but be sure to book some sailing days.
The hotel building was beautiful soft stone and the entrance was very attractive with an outdoor dining area and well tended planting. The indoor decor was dark and traditional. The staff were very good, helpful without being intrusive . Breakfast went on until 11am and the choice was good especially fresh fruit juice, fresh fruit and cooked omelets. At times the restaurant and terrace seemed empty, an the terrace bar was not staffed.
The pool area in the rear garden was very attractive, although not too warm.
We had a breakfast and dinner plan included which was convenient. Bus to old town was right in front. Buy bus passes at hotel front desk. We did figure that a beach lounge would be free for guests but they were 30 kunas. Overall it is a very nice hotel with a nice beach and places to walk to nearby.
The rooms were pleasant and comfortable and the service we received absolutely made the holiday, all the staff from the main reception all the way down to the chambermaids were friendly, chatty and most helpful in making our stay a good one. The morning breakfast was varied by it's choice and quality and always gave us a great start to the day. Dubrovnik itself is one of the most delightful places that I have visited, the people, the sites and the restaurants with it's amazing fish dishes and service were first rate. Certainly worth another visit at a later date.
Really helpful staff with perfect English who explain where to get the bus outside into town. Bus goes every 20 mins and takes 10mins to get to the Pile Gate at the old town. Bus costs 12 kuna each way, hotel will sell you the bus tickets and it's cheaper than paying on the bus. Breakfast good and lovely setting overlooking the bay.

Buses ran to Dubrovnik every 15 mins just outside the hotel so we were conveniently situated without the disadvantages of being inside the city which could be very busy. We were close to beaches and places of interest. We bought a Dubrovnik card which allowed us to travel freely to and from the city and its immediate environs and gave us free access to several places of interest plus a discount on meals at certain places. The hotel staff were very efficient and helpful and became our first point of enquiry when we planned a day out. The hotel itself was very well equipped and comfortable. Altogether a very enjoyable experience and somewhere we would return to.

Situated on a beautiful walking path, only a few minutes to the water and bus stop. Staff very friendly, speak good English, give good tourism advice. Would stay here again. Excellent breakfast with eggs, fruits, cheese and ham.
All the staff are very friendly and eager to help make your stay as pleasant and easy as possible. The hotel itself is clean, with standard facilities, if a bit old fashioned. Our 14" Grundig TV had teletext! The rooms are all a standard large size and our double bed was huge- 7ft by 7ft! The nearest beach is very nice and about a 3 minute walk from reception. Overall a good base for staying in Dubrovnik...
