Giugliano in Campania Hotels

We arrived to a very nice and helpful front desk lady. Our room was quite nice and very clean. The pictures showed it more of a beach resort, with a lovely pool and beach loungers.... what we walked into was an abandoned, creepy ghost hotel. The swimming pool on location was now only filled with sand and garbage. The beach was forgotton about, with ripped palapas and tool netting left up from a wedding, probably years previous. Due to the pool situation, we were taken over and shown the neighboring pool, which we could use. This second pool was quite horrendous. We walked in to a run down pool area, with about 5 or 6 locals just staring at us. I enjoy mingling with locals, when I am in a town or B & B... but a resort should have a pool that is for guests. There was a prostitute, literally half a block from the pool. We were the only people in the hotel itself. We were asked what time we would like to eat, so that the chef could open the restaurant and make us something. This was concerning. How much fresh food do they actually bring on site every day, when the restaurant only opens at request? We paid for our one night, but we did not stay for one more minute. I booked this based on what we saw on expedia, and was extremely disappointed. This would be a beautiful place, if they put some work into it. I hope others will read this and think twice.

Wonderful hotel, friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast. Mattresses were hard, but in good shape.

Very friendly staff, spoke English which was a plus. About 30 minutes to Naples by car. Hotel is in a remote location, so if you have a car this hotel is highly recommended.
