"The staff was terrific. Very helpful and responsive. The hotel is a bit challenging to find as no cars are allowed on it's little cobblestone alleyway. Arriving in that area in Naples, with wall to wall graffiti everywhere is a bit disconcerting, especially at 7am when the streets are pretty deserted. "Seventh floor room with no elevator. You have to carry your baggage up 130 steps similar to a medieval castle. The room is fine but the trip up is challenging. "Loved Grand Hotel de La Ville. Such beautiful rooms with inlaid wood, marble bathrooms, lovely painted tile floors. Breakfast and staff excellent. We had an end-view partial sea view, which I would skip in the future. Mostly a view of a neighboring apartment building, but everything else is fantastic. 5 minute walk to train station, 10 minute walk to shopping downtown."
