"Jane was an amazing hostess! The night we arrived, she prepared us tea and delicious strawberry crumpets, it was a lovely gesture after the journey getting to her lovely house. Her breakfasts were wonderful and she was very helpful in helping us decide which hikes/walks to do while on Skye. I cannot recommend this place enough - room was spacious and very clean, good sized bathroom too. "We had a fantastic stay at Taigh Duitseach in April 2024. Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming. "This was our favourite property in our 3 week visit to Ireland and Scotland. It wasn’t the fanciest but the property felt homey with some added extras that made it just perfect! "Breakfast and restaurant food was fabulous, staff were fabulous. Just pay overnight parking only 5 minutes walk away. It’s summer, our room was quite warm but I removed the doona from the cover and left the window open. Being above a pub on a Saturday night I thought it would be noisy but we didn’t have any issue. I can’t wait to go back. "
