"This property is out of town and that contributes to its appeal. It is the retreat it purports to be. It is quiet, tranquil and set in the most beautiful lush tropical gardens and with a beautiful pool. We enjoyed tropical rain which is a treat. The rooms are great, beautifully decorated with attention to detail like beautiful sheets and fresh flowers, and with lovely garden outlooks. Lovely hosts. We could move in! Karen and Brett "

"I think a lot of previous reviews can be dis-regarded as there is new management there. The new boss ( Col ) is right on top of managing this place. For the properties age it is very clean and tidy. I had one of the ensuite rooms and was very happy - comfy bed / airco / lotsa hot water. Plenty of onsite parking and if you want - full kitchen / cooking facilities available. If you're doing Cooktown on a budget, I 101% recommend this place."
