"The location was fabulous and the garden was a joy. The house was okay but would have benefited from the owners having been less defensive and having acted upon issues already raised by previous reviewers e.g. the mattresses/pillows were very uncomfortable, the tap in the upstairs toilet is very stiff and difficult to turn on or regulate the temperature, especially cold (even the caretaker couldn't sort out). "This property is really unique. It is so peaceful and beautiful- lambs, highland mountains and scenery everywhere you look! We absolutely loved it. Beyond this, the food and service were amazing, too! For a small hotel, the kitchen staff and food quality were an unexpected delight. The hotel itself is clean albeit small and dated rooms (exactly what I expected), but the beds were comfortable and facilities in good working order. Overall a great experience and I would return."
