"Stayed here with another couple for a long weekend on the bourbon trail. The property is well located in Bardstown, close to downtown, so you can walk or do a quick drive. The home is well appointed with everything we needed and communication with the owner was excellent. Like other reviewers mentioned, the second bathroom is located through the office. Not an issue, just something to be aware of. Overall great stay."

"Had an amazing time, beautiful property, and excellent accommodations! We stayed for 5 days and took advantage of the peacefull nature and tranquillity of the property. Host had the unit well stocked including firewood. We enjoyed seeing the deer daily and relaxing by a fire at night. The bed had a new memory foam mattress and the softest sheets, my back thanks you for not skimping. There was a washer and dryer if needed and a tankless water heater for endless hot water, oh and great water...

"On the main road in Bardestown. Within walking distance of museums and restaurants. Multiple beds for groups that aren’t keen on sharing. Nice interior. New & functional bathroom fixtures. Well placed & subtle nightlights throughout. Easy check in & out. Thank you very much!"

"I booked this place for my BIL’s 40th. Three nights. It was 6 adults, 3 couples. We could not ask for a more centrally located place. Easy drives to all the great distilleries. But out of the way and peaceful. The views of the lake driving in were amazing. We saw deer and a turkey. You can’t quite see the lake but it’s so pretty from the back deck. When we arrived one of the bathroom showers wouldn’t stop running. I messaged the property manager and she and the owner got back to me right away....

"We were up in Kentucky for 4 days, this house was our home away from home. The kids loved it and the beds are amazing! It's too bad we didn't have time to enjoy the fire pit, we would have loved that as well as the grill if we had another night to stay. They have already told me to we have to stay there again next year. It's 10 minutes from Kroger, James Beam Distillery and the Bernheim Forest and Makers Mark Distillery is not too far as well."

"Property was as advertised. Clean and stocked with everything we needed. We spent Thursday at the golf tournament in Louisville. Friday was bourbon trail day. Saturday we ended up at Lover’s Leap winery which was awesome."

"I met my 8 girlfriends from college in central Kentucky. The Havilah House was the perfect location for keeneland and bourbon tours and halfway between the bluegrass and Louisville airports. The house is comfortable and well stocked. The host was very responsive and answered our questions quickly. I would highly recommend it."

"We planned this stay to take advantage of the Bourbon Trail. We were able to visit many distilleries due to their close proximity of this home! The home is beautifully decorated and the beds are comfortable. We took advantage of the outside gas grill and cooked some delicious steaks one night. Brickhouses are right next door which was a special treat to see. We will definitely stay here again!"

"What a great location, so close to many bourbon distilleries, restaurants & golf course. Many options which it was hard to choose the basement bar/games or sit on the front porch. "We had eleven family members together to celebrate our parent's anniversary. The house and grounds are gorgeous! The layout of the house is great for that many people. Lots of areas to gather and visit or play games. There were a couple hiccups that were addressed very quickly. We also found out they were probably due to lightning or power surge from tornado that had come through the day before our visit. So, we can hardly blame them for freak occurrences.
