Bed and Breakfast in Assisi

"Room was a welcome bit of luxury halfway through our Italy adventure. Staff was exceptional. Furniture in the bar was a bit tired but served it’s purpose and the Rick red leather still looked nice."

"We were warmly welcomed on check in and, at every step of the way, we were made to feel special! The bar tender, Shawn, made some delicious cocktails. The Giotto restaurant on site serves excellent food and has a very good selection of wines. We used the very well appointed spa for added luxury! The room had a large balcony with an amazing view of the Umbrian landscape, and, at night, the Basilica was lit up like a beacon. The only downside was the air conditioning in the rooms is not allowed be turned on until June- but, keeping the doors open at night cooled the room down and was very comfortable. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable."

"Hotel Porta Nuovo Assisi - Great location - So close to bus stop - Breakfast was good, lots of choices - We left early and they gave us a grab bag/breakfast, waiting for us by the front, what was inside was surprisingly good. - Staff is very nice - Room was nice and clean - Has fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker - There is a grocery store near by. - Wifi has good signal"

"The descriptin the webpage didn’t match the actual accomodation. They have a paper at the back of the room door which says that we have ti pay 10 euro if we need the sheets and towels changed but in their web description, it says that towels and sheets are changed every 2 days. They didn’t clean the room as well and it took the 4th day pit of our 5 day stay that they “clean” but the sheets weren’t changed at all. They only did this because I sent a message to them about no one is cleaning the room daily nor emptied the bin for 4 days already. The webpage says daily housekeeping but has not been followed as well. The location for the free breakfast is far from the accommodation, you need to at least walk 10-15 minutes and it was raining when we were there so it was very inconvenient. The free breakfast was only a pastry and drink. They could have it provided in the accomodation for the guests convenience. There was no reception as well and in their webpage, it says that they have from morning till afternoon."
