"Nice hotel in ikebukuro ~"
Awesome location, hotel itself is located in a big shopping centre, near Tokyu hands, in less than 5 min walk to main roads of ikebukuro, around 10 min to ikebukuro station, there is limousine bus stop just outside of hotel. There's LAN cable for free access to internet (not that quick). Rooms are small (but like most accommodation in Tokyo). Housekeeping workers do not speak English, which may lead to some miscommunications here and there.

"Smart hotel just 2mins away from a Metro station"
I was initially surprised at just how clean and modern-looking the hotel was at first glance - I was initially expecting to be in some standard fare, but the hotel looked like something out of a James Bond movie, with marble everywhere in the lobby. Everything about it was clean, tidy and modern, and the many restaurants available offered something tasty to eat without having to travel far to get it. It even had its own shopping mall for people to buy things. The room itself was much bigger than expected too - as I was travelling by myself, I usually expect the room to be pretty small, but this was a double bed room with a sizeable, well-maintained bathroom. Admittedly the view from the fifth floor was obscured by a chapel garden balcony used for special events such as weddings, but that's really the only strike on an otherwise perfect starting location for my adventures. Around the area is a myriad of restaurants and shops, and more importantly, a couple of 7-Eleven supermarkets open 24hrs a day, which was perfect for the late night snack or super-early breakfast.

"Great hotel"
I go to Japan (Tokyo in particular) at least once every year. I'm not a big fan of staying in the busy areas of the city due to noise etc. Hotel Bellclassic happens to be in one of my most favorite areas to stay. It's quiet but not too out-of-the-way. It's a 1-2 minute walk from the JR Otsuka train station and about 5-10 minutes from Shin-Otsuka station, which gives you a couple of commute options. It's about an average of 30 minutes' train ride to most of the major tourist areas (if that's your thing). There is a convenience store right across the street, which is convenient (no pun intended). The JR station is also a kind of mini-mall. The hotel itself is bright and clean and pleasant. I stayed in a single room with a double bed, mini fridge, writing table, side table, desk chair and little sofa chair. It's a little small, like most hotel rooms in Japan, but enough room for a couple of small suitcases. I like that the bottled water in the fridge is free (replaced every day) and the amenities that are are full-sized so you actually have enough soap/shampoo to shower with. No wifi, but they provide an ethernet cable, which I used with my Airport Express with no problems. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I speak Japanese, so I can't tell you how well they communicate in English. All in all, a good experience. I have no complaints. One thing that may be of concern for some is that you can hear people in the hallway quite clearly. But it was mainly a very quiet hotel.

"Convenient location & pleasant experience"
The staffs are polite, patient despite us only knowing only how to speak English and was kind enough to help us translate a email for my cafe reservation purely out of good-will. The hotel feels safe and the rooms were clean and well tided. In our twin bed-room, there was enough space to walk despite having two luggage on the floor, the bed is fluffy, there was free WIFI (there were some problems thus we got the WIFI adapter from the front desk), the toilet is clean (equipped with Shiseido shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and cleanser), a mini fridge and a TV. There are also free ice cubes and drinks hot/cold water and tea which was a pleasant surprise. It was overall a great stay.

"Great value for money."
Really conveniently placed in Ikebukuro, which is also a great place to be in terms of the JR line, it's slap bang in the centre of lots of places. Hotel staff were lovely. I speak a bit of Japanese so it was alright, but if you only speak English you'll probably have some language barrier issues, noone I met there spoke English at all. Rooms were comfortable, kept to a high standard, refilled all the soap/handwash etc. every day, provided free tea. Had kettles, mini fridge, TV, bathroom sandals, shoe dusting set, torch, sophisticated AC, shower/bath, toilet, with unintrusive room service every day. The only reason I didn't give room cleanliness a 5 was that underneath the bed there were things like receipts previous customers had dropped and probably dust, but that wasn't anything I was bothered by, it's just I'm rating it on an absolute scale and I see 5/5 as "perfect". Thoroughly recommend this place and I'd definitely come back.

Pocket Guide: Tokyo Ikebukuro 3 stars Hotels

The city’s largest, fastest, and biggest call this neighborhood home. In addition to the world’s largest automobile showroom (Toyota Amlux), it boasts the fastest escalator (at the Tokyo Metropolitan Building Art Space) and two of the world’s largest department stores. A 10-hectare garden, one of Tokyo’s best, is just three subway stops from here.
