"Nice hotel in ikebukuro ~"
Awesome location, hotel itself is located in a big shopping centre, near Tokyu hands, in less than 5 min walk to main roads of ikebukuro, around 10 min to ikebukuro station, there is limousine bus stop just outside of hotel. There's LAN cable for free access to internet (not that quick). Rooms are small (but like most accommodation in Tokyo). Housekeeping workers do not speak English, which may lead to some miscommunications here and there.

"Impeccable service and perfect location"
My family spent 6 days in Tokyo for a Karate tournament. The airport bus stops at the door and we were able to purchase our return tickets in the lobby. Every staff member was courteous and helpful providing information, maps, directions and train routes.

"Excellent stay given the price and the location"
The single most shining point of this hotel is the washer-dryer machine in each room. You can buy detergent from the front desk with 20 or 30 Yen. Then you can get your clothes washed and dried in hours. This helps a lot for the summer visitors given how hot and humid Tokyo is and how sweaty the visitor would be after one day of walk and subway. As most budget hotel in Tokyo, the room is small, ideal only for one person. But the room has almost everything, from press to a regular-size safety box, from microwave to tea bottle, and the washer-dryer.

"Convenient location & pleasant experience"
The staffs are polite, patient despite us only knowing only how to speak English and was kind enough to help us translate a email for my cafe reservation purely out of good-will. The hotel feels safe and the rooms were clean and well tided. In our twin bed-room, there was enough space to walk despite having two luggage on the floor, the bed is fluffy, there was free WIFI (there were some problems thus we got the WIFI adapter from the front desk), the toilet is clean (equipped with Shiseido shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and cleanser), a mini fridge and a TV. There are also free ice cubes and drinks hot/cold water and tea which was a pleasant surprise. It was overall a great stay.

"Great hotel"
I go to Japan (Tokyo in particular) at least once every year. I'm not a big fan of staying in the busy areas of the city due to noise etc. Hotel Bellclassic happens to be in one of my most favorite areas to stay. It's quiet but not too out-of-the-way. It's a 1-2 minute walk from the JR Otsuka train station and about 5-10 minutes from Shin-Otsuka station, which gives you a couple of commute options. It's about an average of 30 minutes' train ride to most of the major tourist areas (if that's your thing). There is a convenience store right across the street, which is convenient (no pun intended). The JR station is also a kind of mini-mall. The hotel itself is bright and clean and pleasant. I stayed in a single room with a double bed, mini fridge, writing table, side table, desk chair and little sofa chair. It's a little small, like most hotel rooms in Japan, but enough room for a couple of small suitcases. I like that the bottled water in the fridge is free (replaced every day) and the amenities that are are full-sized so you actually have enough soap/shampoo to shower with. No wifi, but they provide an ethernet cable, which I used with my Airport Express with no problems. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I speak Japanese, so I can't tell you how well they communicate in English. All in all, a good experience. I have no complaints. One thing that may be of concern for some is that you can hear people in the hallway quite clearly. But it was mainly a very quiet hotel.

"Get among the back alley bars of Ikebukuro"
I needed a budget hotel in Ikebukuro (west side) and couldn't be happier with choosing Star Plaza. The staff were great, the room was simple but clean and exactly what I wanted. The breakfasts were a nice bonus. Thanks to all st the Star Plaza!!

"Convenient for a short stay"
I chose this hotel for a short solo stay before I met up with friends elsewhere in Tokyo. It wasn't that hard to find, a very short walk from the main shopping strip of 60-dori and Sunshine City. There are several late-night restaurants, convenience stores, and a 24-hr supermarket within a block of the hotel, which was very welcome since I didn't manage to arrive until late. The staff have rough maps and small signs in English to help you navigate both the hotel and the area, and laundering services are available for a charge. You can control whether or not your room is cleaned each day, and there are replacement room amenities in the lobby. The lobby is in the basement, down a steep flight of stairs. However, they have a buzzer for patrons who need help (I had a very large bag); push it and someone can help you access an elevator through the hotel cafe. The fridge in the room meant I could go to the supermarket and buy drinks and apples for my breakfast, and I could keep my medicine cool since I couldn't leave it out in the room. The main problem I had was that the rooms do not have temperature control. The heat/air is centralized, which means you can't adjust your room to your liking. There was even a note stating that if cold, they had blankets, if hot, open the window. In the muggy heat of a mosquito-ridden Japanese summer, opening the window was not very desirable, especially since there was no screen. It's also no comfort to shower if you're immediately sweaty again.
