"Small pleasant hotel, 10 min walk to town centre"
An excellent week in beautiful Riva del Garda and surrounding area. The hotel was well situated on a relatively quiet street about 10 minutes walk from the town centre and old town. Breakfast was more than adequate and with the numerous restaurants in Riva, finding somewhere for lunch and/or dinner was not a problem. With many activities to be enjoyed, a week was not enough to fully explore what the region has to offer.

Proberly one of the best views of the lake from our room. Staff were extremly helpful when my wife was not well for a day. They phoned the local chemist to see if it was open as it was a Sunday. As we were there for a wedding they took an intrest as to how it went. They made sure that any taxis we required were there on time. Our taxi driver was a friend of the hotel who was a font of all knowledge with reasonable rates. Will definitely go back again. Hotel is situated approximatly 20 minutes walk along the edge of the lake into Malcesine where you can eat & drink in some of the many resturants & bars. Several boat trips can be arranged from the town.
Have stayed here before, we love its old fashioned charm, personal service and lovely staff and owners. It is typically Italian, basic facilities but all perfectly adequate. Very comfortable bed, lake view superb, worth 57 steps to third floor - no lift , fan but no air cond. Whole place full of interesting paintings. Car park available, small charge, valet parking as the owner has to juggle cars when you need yours. He is most obliging and charming.
