Refurbished hotel, staff very helpful.
Only downside, om Sunday morning, early, the church over the road (closed for refurbishment) rings out a hymn loud and long on its bells. Noise carries inside hotel and cleaners start early!
The free car parking is on the road, but it was safe and there was space, end of August.
There are mosquitoes alongside the lake. Went to the pharmacia (open till 8pm saturday night).and got anti Mozzie stuff as had already been bitten in Milan.

We wanted to return to Malcesine after 15 years since our last trip, and we booked this hotel which is in Navene, 3 miles away from Malcesine, an hour walk, which we did several times, and a pleasant walk it is, but you can use the tourist bus which runs every hour.
The views are lovely, however if you are b&b you are limited to 3 restaurants about 10 mins walk from hotel.
We went early September and the weather was still good, and we were able to find room to swim on the lake which is just across the road.
If you have transport this hotel will be perfect but it is a distance away from any night life
I would not stay at this hotel myself as it is a bit too far from the town, but welcomed the experience this time round
Malcesine was a great choice of place to stay. It had everything we wanted;winding streets, good shops, restaurants and bars. Good bus service to Garda & Verona, and boat trips to Limone. The Castle was worth the visit and the cable car to the top of Mount Baldo gave breathtaking views of Lake Garda and the mountains beyond.
