Our rooftop unit at the Excellsior was great. It was clean, had everything you could possibly need, and the staff was phenomenal.

We had an amazing stay at Oceans. The view from our room was outstanding , it overlooking the beach and the esplanade which was always a hive of activity, with shops and restaurants directly below. The terrace was huge and undercover which was a bonus in the very hot weather. The apartment was 2 bedrooms and the living area was huge. The kitchen was well equipped, with a Nespresso machine with capsules supplied (you could by extra from reception)and the 2 bathrooms were very spacious, with large showers. There was a great washing machine with washing powder topped up daily, a dryer and drying rack and pegs. The position of Oceans right in the heart of Maloolaba couldn’t be better. Lastly the staff. The blonde lady on reception was absolutely amazing, nothing too much trouble and we had a lovely chat with her. We would highly recommend Oceans to everyone

Great place to stay, close to shops

The unit we had had spectacular views and was newly renovated. The spa bath was wonderful and the special glass next to the spa which could be made opaque to allow the view to be seen from the spa was fabulous. The position was not convenient to local shops unless you had a car. The Car Park was hard to manuever in due to design. Unfortunately there were surrounding building works which destroyed the amenity outside the building.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom with rooftop spa and it was very spacious and clean. Only constructive feedback would be to put a ceiling fan on the downstairs balcony. The free shuttle into town was awesome and a great service to have since the resort is out of town. Staff were great and helpful also. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!

I had a mixed stay. The good? The staff are lovely overall. The property & gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The bad? Unfortunately my room wasn't ready at check in time, which I usually wouldn't be upset about apart from having paid a high rater due to it being holiday season. Skeleton staff was to blame (due to the holiday season) but in my opinion if you're not able to accommodate guests don't charge them top dollar, OR limit the number of rooms on offer, OR at least call the guests in advance to let them know the time their room will be ready, given that you ask the ETA of arrival. I did receive a glass of bubbles on the house due to the inconvenience and I certainly wasn't upset with the front desk agent who was very apologetic as this is more a managerial problem. Once I did get access to my room (90 minutes later) I discovered I didn't get the room type I booked. I got an accessible room, which was one of the categories of rooms on offer at time of booking. I don't like accessible rooms so I chose the standard guest room. If the only option was accessible I would not have booked to stay here. This may be an Expedia issue rather than Spicers issue however I highly recommend calling ahead to ensure you'll get the room type you've booked.

Room wasn’t very clean - blinds, kitchenware and washing machine. Floor boards were very worn down. We paid extra for a superior, but the only superior part was new bathrooms. Pool furniture not broken but stained and sagging - not appealing to hang by the pool. Staff not engaging either, felt like asking a favour when we needed something. We stayed for 9 nights and weren’t made aware we would get a linen refresh. There was a handheld vacuum but no charger. For what we paid didn’t think it matched the quality. Pools were great, nice balcony, gardens beautiful, plenty of space in a 2 bedroom apartment. Blinds not working well and let in a lot of light.

Wow! I used to live on Sunny coast and recently went up to visit some friends. Chose to stay in a 2 bedroom unit with view @ Monaco - it was absolutely beautiful! Views were phenomenal. Apartment was super clean (by Maddie!) and hotel staff were lovely! Pool might not be huge but it’s perfect, spa, splash area! Will never stay anywhere else. Thank you for a great stay!
