Self check in and check out without assistance. Pros: quiet, decent price, excellent breakfast, free toiletries in lobby, Cons: elevator slow, slightly tired and dated furnishings, area was a bit sketchy

Reception staff were friendly and attentive. Location is OK. Beds were very soft and pillows quite old compared to other hotels we stayed at in Japan. We found the apartment clearly wasn’t vacuumed well with hairs in the bathroom and down the side of the bed.

This place provided way more than I ever expected to receive from a hotel. From the moment we arrived the strive for 5 star service was evident. And they achieved it during our entire stay. The staff was always more than accommodating. The onsite dining options were some of the best meals we had in Japan. The garden was stunning and full of history. It was an amazing experience overall. Our sincerest thanks to the entire staff of this establishment, and a special thanks to Murakami San for his consistent personal efforts and time spent with us. This was a very special trip. We will certainly stay here again when we return.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the service of the staff was superb. Clean and spacious room (which is rare for Tokyo), the layout and furnishings was amazing. They even have a spa/bathhouse within the hotel that is free for guests. The train station is very close to the hotel, but otherwise there isn't much around the hotel in walkable distance. They do have a family mart within the hotel for convenience though which we highly appreciated.

Great location!! Shinagawa Transit Station - JR Railway Lines and the Bullet Train; Shops, eatries, park (Shinagawa FOR REST). The hotel is pristine; great customer service; every staff member that I've encountered spoke English and extremely helpful; breakfast buffet was great; the overall quality of service and stay was exceptional. Highly recommend THE STRINGS by INTERCONTINENTAL Tokyo

The service is average, the staff seems to be afraid to speak outside their language to foreigners. Faculty is nice and modern, though we got dirty bed sheets 2 nights out of 6

The property was very clean and safe. Perfect location for night life and experiencing Asukasa.

As the name implies, the view of Asakusa Skytree and the surrounding city skyline was breathtaking. The staff and service experience were wonderful. We speak only some Japanese, but our experience was wonderful and the staff were able to communicate with us despite our limited Japanese. The property was in excellent condition, and we absolutely loved the breakfast buffet! There were many options, and again the service experience was superb. We walked to Sensoji temple and to the shopping (donqi and uniqlo) all within 5mins walk or less from the property, so the location was great for the area, and very close to the subway line connecting all.over tokyo. We would love to stay again the next time we are lucky enough to be traveling to Japan.
