8.6/10 Excellent! (1,008 reviews)
We enjoyed the stay. Nice family- friendly environment. Breastfast buffet was enjoyable. We also went to SeaWorld during our stay. Negatives were we booked two rooms for 8 people and stipulated all the childrens ages (9, 7, 4, 2 & 1) only to not receive a conjoined room. It split the family up and meant carrying sleeping children between rooms.
Before entering Sea World, I asked reception if we could please borrow some towels for the kids. Reception said to ask Concierge. At concierge, the staff member said other than paid experiences, there are no water areas at Sea World that would require towels. Then he added there is a splash pad but said the kids "won't get too wet and definitely won't stay wet in this weather". I listened to him .. then later heavily regretted this decision. The splash pad absolutely saturates the kids and so does the pirate ship ride when you first enter the park from the resort. Yes, it was a warm day but it was windy and it is not comfy to sit in wet togs for hours.
Also on arrival, I asked to pay for 1pm check-out, the staff member asked if she could use the card on file to charge for that, to which I said yes. The next day, at 11am, my phone rung 3 times back to back in 5mins, while we were watching the dolphin show. It was Sea World Resort ringing to ask if we were coming to check out. The staff from the day before did not process the late check out or leave any notes on file.

9/10 Wonderful! (621 reviews)
We loved this holiday Park for the kids but the splash Park was out of order the whole time we were there. We were told it'd probably be fixed by Tuesday, yet when we left on Friday it was still not working. The floors in the room were dirty when we arrived, floors could do with a thorough clean, same with the bathroom. The kids loved the pool and jumping pillow.

7.8/10 Good! (824 reviews)
Very limited options at the Infinity restaurant considering the prices. The food looked great but was consistently disappointing.
Very similar experience at the Salti restaurant. The pizzas were good though.
It was also surprising that the resorts dedicated Tour and Activities desk weren't able to arrange activities for us. Instead, they advised us to call companies to arrange this ourselves. They didn't seem to appreciate that the "cheap local call" would mean having to buy a Roaming package for out mobiles, which was definitely not expected to be necessary when staying at the resort.
Every day we were told the jetskis were either unavailable because it was too windy, or they were fully booked. However, the jetskis were parked up and unused, whilst we could see people from other resorts using jetskis on the water. There was clearly an issue with the management or operation of the service and it was very disappointing and frustrating to hear them being dishonest about it.
Cocktails were expensive, very underwhelming, and the customer service was appalling. As there was very little else to do, due to the windy conditions and lack of jetskis, this could have been something fun for us and lucrative for them, but everyone missed out on the opportunity.
Areas of the resort were very run down and derelict.
Having somewhat splashed out on this rare treat for the family and not spared the expenses, it was very disappointing and did not live up to the reviews I'd read.

I stayed with my son in a 2 bedroom apartment. Check in quick and easy. Nice to have our own rooms and a small lounge. Kitchen well enough equipped but only a microwave oven if you want to cook. It was very clean and comfortable, good beds and pillows. A bit of street noise even on 14th floor, but not surprisingly given location. Breakfast was ok, reasonable choices, probably a cost effective option given the expense of dining out in Melbourne! Lots of dining and coffee options within walking distance, Woolworths and Victoria Markets 5 minutes walk. Close to tram stops. I loaned Myki cards from reception, very handy! My son liked the pool/spa, it was very popular given it was school holidays. Overall a very good stay, only negative was slow and small elevators.
