"This is a charming little place--a motel from yesteryear that has been refurbished. The biggest sales point for me is that it is completely out of the town of Luray (although close enough to go to town for food) on the road to Shenandoah National Park. The setting is rural and idyllic and very quiet. The second main draw is that the office manager is the best I've ever experienced at communicating with guests, almost to a fault. We received numerous e-mails before our arrival and again during our stay and after we left. No misunderstandings here! Our room was clean and comfortable enough. I think the main drawback was that rooms are long and exceedingly skinny, so there's barely enough room to navigate around the beds. Our bathroom (the end part of the thin rectangle) was so small, that my husband couldn't shave and I couldn't blow dry my hair in front of the bathroom mirror, because the space was literally too cramped to lift our elbows. We managed, but we probably wouldn't come back unless we planned to stay only one or two nights."

"The room was very clean and larger than expected. It would have been nice to have more than 2 hangers in the closet. Our room was on the first floor, closest to the front desk and to the door to the stairwell, so there was quite alot of noise after "quiet" hours and before 7 a.m. Just wish it had been quieter in order to get a good (two) night's sleep. I might stay again, but would request a room on the upper floor."

The property was very peaceful, clean, and comfortable, while still being conveniently close to local amenities, restaurants, and attractions. It was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the area. "We had an amazing stay at The Baker Farmhouse. We were a family of five and booked this property for 3 nights. The 3 bedrooms were perfect for us. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The fireplace in the living room adds a nice touch. There is TV in all the rooms. The bathroom was clean and had enough towels. There are farms around it and it is nice to see the cows grazing. The hot tub was nice to soak into after a hike in Shenandoah NP. The outdoor fire pit was nice to have and we spent a lot of time star gazing. During clear skies, you can capture the milky way galaxy and see a lot of stars. Some sunsets are magical. It was a perfect stay overall and would definitely come back to spend more time."

"place is really nice. living room and basement stays really cool thanks to two mini-split units though the master bedroom can get pretty warm.there was firewood available when we were here and the firepit was pretty nice.you have to cross a creek to get to the property, but there are some support bits that make it a bit easier if you have a vehicle thats low to the ground.overall very clean and nice place; highly reccomend."

"What a great place for a family vacation! The cabins are cute, if a bit tight. We would bbq at the back cabin (spider man). It has the most room for the 14 of us to gather. We eat around the beautiful fire pit, sit, talk, laugh and play games around the fire. The little ones loved roasting marshmallows. Everyone loved both of the game rooms. The area is lovely, the boys went fishing almost every day. The cavern was fascinating. Each of the cabins had their own hot tub and a fire pit. They also had nice added touch of lamps in each of the bedrooms with usb ports, and you don’t need to bring your own cords. That’s supplied with multiple connections at every lamp! My family (ages 3-70) had a wonderful family vacation. My granddaughter’s asked why we had to leave. The beds are comfortable!While it is not my typical “Hyatt “ vacation, it was just what my family needed, and my 2 daughters didn’t have to leave their pups in a kennel."
