"This property was charming and quaint. For us two sisters wanting two separate beds, only the 3rd level attic type room was available, which entailed walking up 2 sets of stairs and the last one pretty steep. This was not quite relayed to us when booking. The property has two big pluses: it is only a quick walk to the Main street with lots of nice restaurants and shops AND only 10 minutes to the majestic Luray Caverns. Not sure if because of the time of year, but the patio was not cleaned...

Grass was tall, in need of cutting, two dead decorative shrubs at the entrance of the door, large tree limbs on the roof and on the property grounds, would’ve liked to have enjoyed the gazebo, but the path was overgrown, needed mulching, gazebo not clean to sit in. "This is a charming little place--a motel from yesteryear that has been refurbished. The biggest sales point for me is that it is completely out of the town of Luray (although close enough to go to town for food) on the road to Shenandoah National Park. The setting is rural and idyllic and very quiet. The second main draw is that the office manager is the best I've ever experienced at communicating with guests, almost to a fault. We received numerous e-mails before our arrival and again during our stay and after we left. No misunderstandings here! Our room was clean and comfortable enough. I think the main drawback was that rooms are long and exceedingly skinny, so there's barely enough room to navigate around the beds. Our bathroom (the end part of the thin rectangle) was so small, that my husband couldn't shave and I couldn't blow dry my hair in front of the bathroom mirror, because the space was literally too cramped to lift our elbows. We managed, but we probably wouldn't come back unless we planned to stay only one or two nights."
