Our feedback for the hotel would be to offer a little bit of value for money, eg. for $600.00/night, it might be nice to include continental breakfast or free wifi. "Haven't been to the Arts Factory for quite a few years now. Love the place, its uniqueness in the vanilla of the modern Byron Bay, as well as its proximity to beaches, town etc.
The staff were a mixed bunch, the lady that checked me was awesome, friendly, competent and welcoming.Other staff were a mixed bunch with some having little interest and others being somewhat rude.
The joint is also looking a bit run down compared to what it was years ago.

"Probably the quirkiest place we have stayed, which is not a negative. The area is very lush foluage-wise. It is a 20 min walk (for us) into Byron Bay where loads of places for breakfast and other meals (esp if you like Mexican!). In the lodge we had it is a narrow and tight circular staircase to bedroom so note if not good with stairs! Not great to get suitcases up so we left on couches downstairs. "Close to the beach and foodie spots. Bathroom door doesn’t fully close, so recommend turn up your phone or tv on loud when using the toilet. Apart from that it’s affordable and has everything we need"

"Stayed here more than once great location right on the beach. Has a great walkway from Kingscliff all the way past Casarena Beach can walk for miles.
Well lucky enough to be here while whales were passing and got to see them up close and very personal on the beach amazing to pop out and see the majestic animals passing by.
Heaps of restaurants around cafes as well hotel is very well situated. All unit are fully self-contained or the studios have a kitchenette. Would recommend staying here. Don’t really need to leave during winter. There is one heated pool but it is a very small pool. I would imagine. The large pool would be very crowded in summer because there are a lot of units for the size of pool."
