"We have just spent an absolutely fabulous four days staying at Nightcap Ridge . The beautiful cottage was private, tranquil, superbly decorated and furnished with everything we needed to make our stay an absolute dream! Overlooking the lovely dam and surrounded by rainforest we were immersed in Nature; waking to the sounds of birds, strolling through the rainforest, seeing the resident Koala and her baby and sitting on the verandah soaking up the lovely view just felt like we were in heaven! To top it off the new owners were amazing hosts making sure that everything was perfect for our stay with beautiful fresh flowers setup on the table and lots of great advice on where to go and what to see. Nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Nightcap Ridge to everyone and PS it would be a fabulous place for a wedding too!"

"What a wonderful place to stay in the middle of the forest. A peaceful and restful place to get away from everything. The cottage itself is lovely with everything you need, spacious and clean and private. Loved the decor and the clawfoot bath. Next time we would take all our food with us as the nearest small store is 20 mins away and the nearest restaurants are 40 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Overpriced – poor value for moneyIn a nutshell, this property is significantly overpriced and we would suggest looking elsewhere for better value.Communication was poor. After booking, it took almost two weeks for the host to respond to our queries. We eventually contacted Stayz to try to cancel the booking, and only received a response from host three days before our arrival.On the day of arrival, the host advised us they had two dogs. While we are dog owners and were fine with this, it should have been disclosed earlier. The dogs could be heard barking, and the host lived immediately next to us with only a shared door separating the spaces.Facilities did not match the price:No proper coffee facilities were provided. When we asked, we were given a jar of instant coffee.No kitchen facilities.The fridge froze our food, ruining anything we stored.Air conditioning in one room did not work for the first two nights; even on the coldest setting it barely cooled.Wi-Fi was unusable inside the rooms and could only be accessed by going outside.One internal bathroom for four people. There were external bathrooms available, but they had no lighting, no weather cover, and were unusable after dark or in rain.Overall, the amenities, communication and comfort level did not justify the price charged. They are also selling the property so that may reflect the service we received."

"Really clean, very comfortable, loved the big bed and the outdoor shower!!! Very private, and you can’t get much closer to nature than this! The creek is very pretty, and the bubbling sound of little gentle waterfalls over and between the boulders is very relaxing. A fabulous place to unwind, and wished our stay could have been longer! Communication with our hosts was excellent.Very pet friendly especially for an active dog; somewhat challenging for old dogs (as ours is) We loved the location, as it felt very remote, and the creeks and sights nearby are worth visiting. Not too far from the coast, although allow more travel time than Google maps will tell you Watch out for “Joe Blake” who has a special sleeping pozzie - at least, that’s where we saw a medium sized carpet python both mornings of our stay. We heard many varieties of birds, visuals not so much, as the tree canopies are pretty high. "

"Beautiful setting in rain forest environment, but hard to get to on LONG narrow gravel road. The “inn” has beautiful plants and animals all around and it’s interesting that it’s off the grid, just be ready for a shared community/hostel like vibe. That said, our upstairs room w king bed was spacious and private and had great views. Fun experience for those traveling in pairs/groups looking for a quiet, nature- focused stay!"
