Ryokans in Yasu

If your looking for the perfect place to enjoy japanese food and a relaxing personal onsen experience then this is it. Your own hot tub on the balcony and excellent food made for a very enjoyable experience, along with all the other amenities, baths and massage it was a great spa experience.

Lovely!! So enjoyed this escape from everything! Private on s’en was delightful. Big space, beautiful views. Complimentary items included face mask, hair brush (great for thick hair!), toothbrush, shower cap etc. Big range. Another place with nice smelling bath soaps. Had two futons on the floor which were firm but comfortable. House slippers were provided and yukata for visiting the public baths. Huge resort! So big. Getting to the public onsen was confusing but worth the walk. Big indoor...

The hotel was gorgeous, it gave you that really comforting feeling especially after a full day of walking. We booked the private spa due to having tattoos it was magnificent, definitely book the half board the staff for dinner and breakfast were amazing! I absolutely loved the restaurant ladies they were such welcoming people and loved to feed us. Thank you all for such an amazing experience

Wonderful experience, great location, friendly lovely hosts.

We liked the traditional accomodation and breakfast, great onsen facilities and central location.

Welcoming and friendly staff with great English. Traditional style style with futon on tatami. Very relaxing view of the lake nearby and yukata to relax in. Loved the traditional breakfast and bathhouse.

We stayed in the Japanese Room, Private Bathroom (For 2 Guests) and upon entering the level of service from the hotel staff was amazing! The room itself was quite large considering how other Japanese hotels were much smaller, felt good to have more room to breath and relax. The public bath that is at the bottom floor of the hotel was great. The only regret is that we only stayed one night, it would have been ideal to stay here longer and enjoy Kyoto more.

This ryokan is even better than the photos and reviews. It is across the street from the train, so very convenient. All staff wete helpful. There is a casual yukata provided or you can chose a slightly nicer one, also complimentary. Slippers are provided. The onsen are easy to use, with mininal wait times. We absolutely loved it.

The hotel room is spacious and beautifully decorated. It provides excellent amenities including a public bath, though we didn’t use, and great breakfast. It's located in a quiet part of Kyoto but with easy access to metro and walkable to the busy shopping area, imperial palace and niji castle.

Helpfull friendly staff, in a handy location, a cultural experience enjoyed by the whole family

The staff were the star of this place. They were lovely and accommodating, and especially helpful when doing our luggage transfers. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations and was very beautiful and spacious. We would recommend anyone to stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The 108 year old Ryokan was beautiful and authentic but with modern facilities such as the much needed air conditioning (37 deg C days during our stay). Our room was a large family room with a cupboard for our luggage, a table to sit at and 4 futons and overlooking the inner court garden. The traditional shower and hot bath (wooden) plus a western variety operated on a booking in-times system which seemed to work well, and despite the hot days , a hot bath was a...
