Good location. Breakfast was cold and they kept running out of food. Bedroom carpet needed a hoover (hairy). Bedroom window did not lock. Toilet roll holder was loose. Shower screen hanging off cubicle. Only one toilet roll. Empty soap dispenser.

Very good value for a large clean room overlooking the English Channel. Decent shower . In state of refurbishment so corridors rather tatty and breakfast at £10 dismal - a coffee from a machine was another £3 unless you took packet instant coffee. However it met our purpose for a few nights at the right price though doubt I would return.

Friendly & helpful staff who found us a nice accessible room with a sea view. A few issues in room that need addressing but overall comfortable and fairly clean. Parking voucher at £2.20 per day was very useful. Food was a little disappointing but not bad value for money. Nice outside terrace and bar area.

Unfortunately not good... Initially given a room that didn't have enough beds and hadn't even been cleaned from last occupants. The hotel is undergoing renovation and our 2nd room had been painted, this included the (cracked) light switch and wardrobes!! Toilet brush layes on floor with no holder, shower head and glass really dirty. This hotel could be so much better if more attention to detail was undertaken.

Rooms did not reflect pictures, clearly going through some refurbishment, standards of workmanship very poor, poorly run. 3.00pm check in, went to room, found to be very basic, had not been made up, bed & towels as left by previous visitor, offered another room after complaining. Slightly better. Both rooms poor decor, no fire instructions in either room. Suggest local EHO needs to pay a visit. Does Expedia ever check hotels prior to advertising them. Glad it was only a 1 night stay. Felt sorry for customers who had booked for a few days or a week. Trip adviser reviews speak for themselves.

Unaware when we arrived that hotel was being revamped, painters and paint everywhere.Our room was well placed overlooking the sea front but mattress needed replacing with hard springs on the edges,easily felt when you sat on them. Windows painted shut so no ventilation in the room.Shower room had a damaged base and very constricted if you are of a larger size its unlikely you could turn around, no toilet roll holder and one used toilet roll, very basic.We stayed 3 nights and didnt see anyone cleaning rooms or replenishing tea,coffee etc.Staff were generally good and tried to help where possible.Parking was pretty easy using a special pass for 2.20 pounds changed each day to park on the road outside the hotelNot many guests and not much of an advert for british hotels.

We were not told and there was no information in the room that staff would not enter the room unless requested during the stay. We had to request a bin and if we wanted tea making facilities or fresh towels we had to go to reception. Notice said to leave towels on the floor and they would be changed. Landind, stairs and room carpets hadn't been hoovered for some time. We've stayed here before but I believe it is now under new managment. We won't be back!

Room was not cleaned properly, had to change rooms as toilet was full of faeces. No apology or compensation. Breakfast was poor. Limited variety. Limited availability of hot food. Had to wait for more food to be cooked. Food poor quality. Will not retutn. Poor value for money.

Situated 10mins walk from the Pier. 30mins walk to the rail station. Hotel like most in Eastbourne and similar resorts, in much need of some tlc. Carpets and general decoration in corridors and rooms require modernisation and painting. Room was similar. TV remote inopp. Floor covering in bathroom in a well worn state. Some refurb work seems to be in progress. One not so nice extra, bed bugs. It is in other reviews, but it seems true. I was bitten on my second night! Parking not good. Advertises free parking, there is no hotel car park. You have to find a street behind the hotel (this took me 20mins) to locate a free space. Parking permits can be purchased for limited parking on the seafront.
