The Huntley Hotel

"Not a 5 star experience at all. For a start the restaurant was shut down for some reason and there was no room service, for someone arriving in the evening this not the surprise you want, frankly should I’ve known I wouldn’t have booked there. In the morning I went up for breakfast and with total disregard for guests having breakfast they start with loud drilling and sawing remodeling to the bar, seriously they could’ve waited until the last few guest left! It’s shame to see such mismanagement."

"Our room was very clean; fresh, clean bedding on both the 2-double beds in the bedroom, along with the sofa sleeper in the living room. The towels were clean, soft and large. Easy to use bath towel as a body wrap post shower. The full-sized kitchen was clean and nicely equipped with dinnerware, cookware and silverware. The Cal Mar is only 2 blocks from the Pacific Palisades Park- that overlooks the Pacific Coast Highway, the Santa Monica Pier and the beach. Great location. The pool, around which the rooms are located, is just the right size; never over crowded. Pool towels available pool side; no need to pack your beach towels."

"We loved our stay!!! The room was really nice. Our comforter had a stain on it when we arrived and when we notified the staff they were very apologetic and immediately changed the bedding. The staff were pleasant, welcoming, and very helpful when needed. We loved the healthy choices for breakfast and the staff made sure our needs were taken care of. The B&B is in walking distance to the beach which was a plus for us. My husband and I plan on staying here again!"

"So the location and some features of the listing wasnt accurate but the experience we had made up for all of it. The management team was always responsive, and the house is beautiful and functioning. The house was really clean, and the pool and deck layout was perfect for daytime, nighttime, gatherings etc. The theater was much better than the listing, we wanted to sleep in there bc it was so amazing and better than a true theater. We loved all the amenities and the features of the house like the sauna in the master bath! We would stay again if we return."
