As soon as we arrived we felt welcomed, the owners are absolutely lovely, rooms were clean and well stocked. Convenient location with town, supermarkets and takeaways all within walking distance. Will definitely stay again.

The location is super convenient. McDonald is the next door, and Pizza hut, KFC, and other restaurants are also a stone drop distance. New World and Woolworth are just behind. Super amazing location. The room is not very clean. The soundproof is not very good. So better be quiet. The boss is a warm, friendly couple.

Initially the manager tried to put me into a unit around the back that had a totally flooded carpark and was impassable. He then said he would 'upgrade me'. ?? The upgraded unit was dirty and I mean dirty. I will not be returning or recommending.

Staff member was brilliant, we were in whangarei for a funeral and needed to get changed the man on the desk was so helpful and allowed us to get the room earlier than the 2pm check in, this was much appreciated. Would recommend without hesitation.

Overnight in Whangarei

This was a great budget hotel with comfortable beds. It has an unusual layout with walls at various angles. My sister and I had booked a two bedroom which was actually a one bedroom with a bed in the lounge and a seperate bedroom. It had a nice big TV with SkyTV channels. I was a bit skeptical on arrival as the hotel is on a busy road squashed between an office type building, McDonalds and a school. It looked neat and tidy with just a driveway with parking on the side and in front of the units. Would be better to get a room towards the back of the property to avoid road noise. An older type of hotel but very clean. The beds were very comfortable with clean fresh bedding. There were a few decorations too many for my taste ( plastic flowers, lacy doilys, toilet mat etc) It would be good to have some art work more in keeping with the 50's - 60's syle fittings but that is just a visual thing. The curtains could be rehung as a few hooks had come undone.

It was a hurried booking and the price was more than reasonable, so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a 1 bedroom room (I had booked a studio) with full kitchen, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner in the shower, sealed toothbrush & toothpaste packages in the bathroom. Sure the place has a bit of age on it but it was all in very clean. The beds were comfortable and the sheets had that fresh laundry smell.

The room was nice enough, would be great for families for the space and sleeping arangements and for the price. Easy parking outside of the room. The bed was pretty uncomfortable though as it was very firm, woke up after one night with joint pain all over. The room was clean but the office was small and cluttered.
