To my delight the owners focused on renovating the interior first and appear to be working on the exterior (although no active work was in progress while we were there). The room was clean, updated and was as advertised. Nice stay. "

"We spent three nights at the Lodge. It is an excellent base for exploring Tongariro. Our room was very comfortable and the lodge had a laundry and drying room. Breakfasts were very good.
