"The hotel is a credit to the owner in every respect. My wife and I were on holiday to sample various areas of Germany. All staff were most welcoming and helpful. We only had one evening meal there but it was outstanding, and we have eaten in many fine restaurants around the world. It was the first stop on our holiday and it could not have been better. "Beautiful hotel with easy parking in the courtyard for our small campervan. Hotel initially a little difficult to find as it is hidden within tiny streets but we were pleased with the location once we had found it. There are fabulous gardens to walk around next door. Breakfast was delicious and the tall chap in the evening restaurant spoke fantastic English and was really helpful when making arrangements for a late key. I would be happy to stay again. 👍"
"We stayed here for a night before we had to fly away after a 2 week vacation traveling around and visiting family in Germany. The hotel room was small but comfortable, dining services weren’t at the restaurant but still a small comfortable space with several options, and the staff were amazing . Would stay here again! "

"Dropping my daughter off at Phillips University. Being from the US and not speaking German, they were extremely helpful and friendly. Taxi, directions, dinner suggestions plus more! Perfectly located in the center of town quick walk to everywhere especially the castle."
"This was by far the most unique and cool place I’ve ever stayed. The room we booked was for large groups and it was the entire tower you see in the picture. There are a lot of stairs and it is a stone spiral staircase. Smaller rooms are also available in the other part of the castle but I did not see them because there was another guest. The owner is the one doing the renovation and it’s not completely finished yet but the rooms that he has finished are stunning. Looks and feels like a medieval castle. Germany has rules about modern luxuries when restoring castles so some things like the shower and toilet are unique but completely functional. The hosts were extremely helpful answering questions about the town and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great both days and they had it ready early since we told them we had an early morning train to catch. Downtown is very walkable and old town is definitely worth the trip. So many quaint Biergartens. Simply an amazing find. "
