"Fantastic last minute find after our initial booking was cancelled. We absoutley loved the little village of Bayfield. We enjoyed our early morning bike rides to Clan Gregor Square and Pioneer Park in the afternoon to watch the sunset. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay away from home perfect. "Our first impression was just”Wow”! That was from the outside. Going inside, there were more Wows! and “Look at this”, and “This place is awesome!” I would call the architecture and decor Scandinavian minimalist-in the best possible sense.The cottage is filled with light from the floor to ceiling windows. And we definitely got the message from the owners that they wanted us to enjoy ourselves and feel at home. We did both. Would highly recommend this cottage for a quiet getaway."

"We had such a great weekend staying here. Everything we could’ve needed was available in the kitchen once we got our groceries. All spices, pots, pans, oils, sugar, even coffee was provided and it was enough for us as we only stayed for a weekend. The private beach area was perfect for the kids! We set up a little sun shelter, and the kids played in the sand in our own area. The water was too cold as we were there at the beginning of June, but it was still a perfect beach trip for us regardless....

"This property is a dog owners dream! Huge fenced backyard so you don't have to have your pup on leash all the time and we had access to a private beach which my bulldog loved. We used the beach daily and never ran into another person on it. The town of Bayfield has water bowls for dogs outside most shops and again our bulldog was welcome most places in town. All of this made vacationing with our dog really easy - which was initially a worry of ours when booking time away from home."

Arrival and check-in went smoothly and we found the cottage to be as advertised, freshly renovated and well within our standards of cleanliness. We were concerned of the neighbors and dealing with noise complaints given past reviews and the fact that the public beach access stairs are on this property however we had no issues with any of the neighbors. "The place was overall fine and the interactions with the property owner was great as they were very responsive. Positives: Location-10 to 15 mins from Grand Bend Beach and from Pinery provincial park. Screened patio in the back was great as we could sit out at night and not get bitten alive by mosquitoes. Not so Positive Garbage was not cleared out from the previous group No/exremely limited pots and pans, we had to go and buy some while there Things to keep in mind: It says sleeps 20 but...
