"Room was simple but spacious for our family of 4. It was very far from the main hotel areas though, and lifts being out of order between buildings made it incovenient with a buggy and luggage in tow. The bar and pool areas were lovely. The a la carte restaurant was a bit limited for kids and gluten free options, but was good to also have the option of the buffet style restaurant which was a better plan with children."

The linen was crisp and luxurious and the towels were fluffy and soft. And for someone who really appreciates fragrance, the linen and towels and the hideaway smelt beautiful. "Not sure if I got the gritty room because I paid with my points or if most of the rooms are so tired and dated? Shower hanging out of holes in the wall tiles, paintwork flaking around doors, dirty marks on walls, tv so old that the remote still has a “teletext” button! If I got such a bad room because I wasn’t a fully paying customer then shame on The Berystede. I won’t be rushing back."
