We absolutely loved our stay at the Timbercutter's cottage. We loved quietly sitting looking over the organic vineyards, walking around the property with the dogs, cooking on the wood BBQ and eating at the picnic table under the stars, and going to sleep in complete darkness! Wollombi is just down the road and also beautiful. The wine provided for purchase in the cottage was absolutely delicious - our tasting at another organic winery did not match it at all! It was a beautiful retreat indeed, we truely enjoyed our stay and the team were responsive and welcoming. We had a small issue during our stay and they resolved it promptly, we were very impressed with the outcome. If you are a coffee lover, there is a cafe catering your morning craves :) we saw many hot air balloons on the sky from our balcony, can’t get better than this! Highly recommended to everyone, we are planning for our next visit already with friends and family.

In the middle of Cessnock CBD, it offers a very pleasant and personalised atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff, rooms which break the usual sterile motel mould, very comfortable beds and lots of bonus provisions such as lounge and eating area.
