"Pros - good location. Short walk into town. Room clean, modern & spacious. Self check in with good clear instruction prior to arrival. Cons - Car park full so had to pay for parking on car park next door. No plates at breakfast only cardboard dishes which made it difficult to butter toast as the bread wouldn't fit in the dish. Would definately stay here again though & just maybe arrive earlier to get a parking space."

"Decent place to stay and good value for money so would recommend. No car parking which is made clear so no argument with that, however it’s worth being aware that Ambleside is busy so I ended up parking some distance away. Only negative would be the 8am breakfast time, as it was too late, so had to miss out both days. Annoyingly, the Ambleside in which is 100m away and owned by the same group is 7.30am which would have worked. Overall a decent place though"

"This was a lovely cottage, with parking, and only 10 minutes walk to the beautiful town of Ambleside. Skylark had everything you would need, a little welcome pack and is clean and tidy on arrival. Beds were comfy, bathroom is fab, kitchen was nice and bright and sofa etc was great to lounge onRe parking, could do with the hedges being cut back as it’s very tight to parkLock box entry….which is on the right of the garage. We couldn’t find it at first as arrived late and in the dark…..so just be awareAmbleside has numerous eateries so we ventured out each night Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice ‘home’ in a great location"
