Waldport is a small town but Newport is only 30 minutes away. My only negative note would be the kitchen pans and gadgets were sparse if you actually plan on cooking during your stay."

"Had a beach view room. Older property inside and out, but clean and bed was comfortable enough and Direct TV and internet worked well. It was quite a walk to find beach access as built up on the cliff road overlooking Nye Beach, so that was unexpected. Good one night stay over all!"

As we were told, the hotel is under new ownership and going through major changes. However, my sister mentioned years ago that the pool was not working at that time either. The only bright spot in our state was the kindness of the staff to be honest. My 10-year-old son thought the beds were nice, and slept like a rock. He wanted me to make sure I added that. There is also a pet deposit, make sure you understand that when you choose this hotel. It was $25 extra per night. "
