"10/10 if visiting Chicago! Affordable and convenient. The breakfast was incredible. With such a large capacity they have the layout that can’t be beat! Smart to spread out the options. Now let’s talk about the bed and pillows! I have never had that much good sleep in a hotel. I was instantly trying to find the pillows online. The front desk staff was so sweet. Can’t say enough wonderful things! Thanks for taking care of our family for the weekend!"

"Breakfast was good. I absolutely LOVED the bacon lol. I looked for it every day we were there but it was only available the first day. Staff was helpful. No complaints except one… our ironing board was broken and they should upgrade the actual irons. They brought me another ironing board but that was wobbly. Other than that I really enjoyed our stay from Wednesday to Saturday. What do didn’t know until the morning if Great Lakes graduation was they offered a shuttle. Towels were replaced and rooms tidied up daily, I really appreciate that. I’d definitely stay again if I were in the area"

"Requested early check in but instead Check in was late. Nothing to keep us busy while waiting, not even a drink. Not even a check in on all of us sitting at reception. Check-out was bland like nothing happened the day before. Customer service is definitely wanting... No offer to delay check out or even get some feedback on how the inconvenience could be rectified. The hallway ceiling, walls and floors need renovation."

"This was by far the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was incredibly spacious and the amenities are not to be overlooked! We had a small kitchen inside of our room, along with utensils, pans, silverware, plates, cups, a stovetop, fridge and a dishwasher! I couldn’t stress this enough: if you are traveling for Navy Graduation, this is the hotel to stay at. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful throughout our stay, and I really could not be more appreciative of them. The pancake machine was awesome!! I would 100% stay here again when visiting Gurnee or Chicago."

"Impossible to cancel reservation I made reservations through Expedia to stay here for a trip to visit family. Note at the time I made the reservations there were no notices that the reservations were refundable. Up to this point I've never had an issue with a hotel in which I couldn't cancel the reservation and get the full refund as long as the cancellation was made in advance of the check in date. A week after making the reservation, we got word of a family emergency and I immediately tried to cancel the reservation through Expedia. Expedia replied two days later telling me that the reservation was non-refundable and that this was "the property's policy." Initially, I tried to appeal this decision through Expedia. Expedia told me they had nothing to do with the decision, I would have to work this out through Marriott. I spoke to three different people associated with this property: the reservation service (told they don't do anything with cancellations), a person in guest services (again she said she couldn't do anything, I should call the front desk), and finally spoke to someone at the front desk who told me there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to her manager but was told the manager was busy but could call me back. Never heard from the manager. During this experience I spoke with many people from Marriott and Expedia. Although everyone was polite no one had any authority to help me with this issue."
