"For the price we were expecting First Landing to be pretty nice but had fairly modest expectations. Honestly though we were blown away. The landscape around was absolutely beautiful, the welcome we received and service throughout was disarmingly good, we felt at home and yet in complete paradise. The warrior dance we saw also blew us away, so incredible. Food was good, especially the goat curry and tandoori chicken wrap - best things we have eaten in Fiji. Add to that the reasonable price and history element with this being the first place the Fijian ancestors landed in Fiji and you’ve got yourself a knockout. "

"The Executive Rooms are 2nd to none, wonderful staff always smiling and alway did their best to make your stay wonderful which they did for us. Breakfast was very good , restaurant was lovely and service very good. Room service food great had to wait a little but understandable as being flat out. Chicken fried rice impeccable!!!!!! Room 302 is like the palace , fantastic room , housekeeping congratulations very high standard. Cateringcteam do an amazing job and especially when put under tge pump you may have a little wait but they never send you a faulty meal all food was excellent. My 13 year old is adicted to tge Brownie served with icecream. Ive stayed previous and always a great stay with excellent staff. We also had massage and my daughter had her eye lashes tinted. Very good prices and the serve from both ladies 5 star , the massuse is 5 star plus her massage is heaven you have to give her a go. "Absolutely amazing beach and location! Stayed for 5 night in points villa #3, what a lovely accommodation! Resort property is charming and well maintained. We did not have any issues and concerns, even it was a bit a construction close to a restaurant and second bar was closed, that did not bother us it all. Great dining options, dinner is a like a cruise ship style with chef's specials and all dishes are well presented. All staff is extremely friendly. Special thanks to all service stuff for keeping our villa spotless, main Chef who was making sure we had a great lobster dinner (ordered separately) experience and guys from dive shop who provided a seamless boat tender transportation and snorkeling trips (I definitely recommend night snorkeling). I will absolutely recommend Octopus resort to my family and friends!"

"I'm writing this from the Tokoriki restaurant which abuts a calm sea with a view of the island where Tom Hanks hung out with a volleyball in Castaway. But it is not the view (which is spectacular), or the large villas right on the beach (which are amazing) that make this place a 5-star experience. What makes this place a 5-star paradise is the staff. Somehow EVERYONE knows your name immediately. This in itself is quite a feat because the staff outnumbers the guests. (Someone really knows their Dale Carnagie!) They greet every guest with a welcome song and announce every guest's departure at dinner accompanied by a good-bye song. It rained quite a bit while we were here, but we did sneak in some incredible snorkling just yards from the hotel. My only tiny complaint is that it would be nice if they offered some relevant exercise classes--I'm thinking like yoga or mindfulness--but I imagine that is on the way since they are in the process now of building a gym. As I'm writing this another helicopter just landed carrying new guests...can't wait to see their reaction when the entire staff shows up to welcome them!"
