Experience Sitka's charm in your cozy 1-bedroom retreat overlooking the bay
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay in Sitka and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and very well-maintained. It was clear that Mike and Pam take great pride in providing a welcoming experience for their guests. The location was excellent, offering beautiful surroundings and convenient access to local attractions. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home, which made our stay feel relaxing and stress-free.Communication with Pam was outstanding from start to finish. They were responsive, friendly, and helpful whenever we had questions.Overall, this was one of the best VRBO experiences we’ve had. We would gladly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends. Thank you for a fantastic stay!"
"Strongly recommend Eagle Bay Inn! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The Staff was AWESOME! They went out of their way to do whatever they could to ensure our stay was enjoyable! Enjoyed meeting Vickie! She was wonderful! They made excellent recommendations for dining, shopping and excursions. The Breakfast bar was neat, clean and well stocked. Would DEFINITELY stay here again!"
"Room was excellent. It seemed new or nearly new. Bathroom was very clean. It has a kitchen, which was also very clean. Loved the comfortable mattress, but I like fluffy, pillow top soft mattresses. For a remote place in Alaska, this hotel is probably the cleanest and best I have personally experienced at this price point. Airport shuttle provides free ride. Two-three blocks to tour busses at Harrigan Centennial Hall. Hotel has no restaurant. Highlander coffee shop is updated, clean and modern and is located directly across the street...also Wildflower Cafe and Bakery for food and drinks, but it is closed on Monday and Tuesdays. They are not kidding about the best burger at Sitka's Burger and Crab Shack, also across the street. Amazing bun. I had the Sitka burger and loved it. Worth the wait in line. Go at 11:30am and maybe no line. Residents don't like tourists to jaywalk...it may be dangerous. Take a left out of the front entrance and walk to the crosswalk. For dinner, I recommend Bayview Pub a couple block walk from the hotel. Suburb homemade New England clam chowder and also the halibut filet was thick, amazing, and fresh. We decided not to get anything breaded on the menu, except we splurged with sweet potato fries, which were delicious. If you like hiking, get a ride to the trail to Beaver Lake in the Tongass...about a two-to-three-hour hike, close to town. Don't miss Fortress of the Bear. Bears have three habitats including wilderness to romp and roam."

8/10 Good
"The unit was neatly tucked between a brewery and storage shed. The floodlight of the storage shed shown through the only window’s curtains and was bright during Sitka’s dark hours. The unit was cozy and had most the comforts needed for our short stay and was conveniently located very near the Sitka National Park’s trail into town. Very nice!!"
"We were looking for basic hotel while doing two days of chartered fishing. We were disappointed coffer was not on/ available to make. Staff indicated the coffer is not brewed until 7 am and we had to leave by 6 am. We were here as the holiday weekend kicked off so the coffee place across the street wasn't open before 6 either."

Reviewer Comments:
I can’t say enough about this lovely home overlooking Crescent Harbor in Sitka, Alaska. The home is so warm and welcoming, tastefully appointed with all the comforts of home. There’s even a piano! Two people in our party play piano and guitar and it was fun gathering in the front room, enjoying the view and singing along. Some better than others! Lots of space to find your own private nook to relax and read. If you must work, there’s a desk upstairs overlooking the harbor! Nice inspiration! Would love to stay here again. The property management is top-notch h and responded quickly to every need. Well done!"
