"Beautiful home, gorgeous view, exactly as described. We were there in the beginning of june and the pool was warm especially in the afternoon. There are beach chairs, coolers, and ice packs available. We did have an issue getting a phone signal but with the wifi it wasn’t a big deal for us. The road is rough but just make sure you have 4 wd and you’ll be fine. You are right by skinny legs and 10-20 minutes from all the best beaches"

"I couldn’t love this property more!! The view is unparalleled and the inside was well appointed and very cozy with everything I needed. The host Emily was an excellent communicator. She answered all of my questions before my trip very thoroughly so my mind was at ease knowing every detail of my travel and stay at the rental were taken care of. Emily also promptly answered any questions I had during my visit. The island of St. John is very unique and there are many aspects that are unfamiliar for a novice to navigate. She helped me figure out all sorts of things and made my visit very pleasant and smooth even when the unexpected arose. The stairs pictured at the end of the listing descend from the parking space to the entrance. Packing light and packing so you can carry things on your back is the way to go. As a payoff for the view it was absolutely worth the trouble and if you are in reasonable shape it is not a big deal. I found that bringing a headlamp flashlight and a power brick charger for my phone were very helpful. The power on St. John is not reliable at all times and having those items really helped me adapt. The water does not work in a power outage either. So having a bag of ice in the freezer to pack around cold items (a cold bag is provided) and a few gallons of water at the ready is all you need to get through. If you have an adventurous spirit, this is the place for you! St. John is a never ending adventure & this property is perfection."

Family Glamping Site with AC

"Our family of 5 had a delightful stay at Lameshur Cottage and Campsites. We stayed in the 2 turtle containers. We found them to be comfortable and especially enjoyed wrapping up our by night sitting on the porch, recounting the adventures from our day on St. John. Our 12 year old especially enjoyed the frisbee golf and feeding the bananaquits. There are also some friendly cats that kept us company whenever we visited the restroom. I did take off 1 star for cleanliness, but only because the room with one bed had sheets that had either not gotten clean in the wash or had not been changed. Everything else was perfectly clean. The real star of this place is the location! It's a 30 second drive from Salt Pond Beach parking lot. We enjoyed some of the best snorkeling of our trip at Salt Pond Beach and the next morning we took a sunrise hike at Ram Head. So gorgeous! Another bonus of this location: It is a reasonably quick and scenic drive into Coral Bay. Just mind the iguanas, chickens, goats, deer, donkeys, and even a miniature horse in the road. (We saw all of these!) We decided to forego the use of the outdoor kitchen and we had dinner at the Surf Club Cantina, which was delicious! If camping/glamping is your jam- I highly recommend this rental."

Ultimate Tropical Paradise-Minutes From The Beach-Coral Bay, St. John, VI

"From the moment we stepped into Sunset Paradise, we began relaxing. On the kitchen counter, there was a gift basket with welcome items, like personalized glasses, microwave popcorn, and a bottle of rum. We are older, and experienced travelers, and have never had this happen before. Out onto the wrap around deck we went, and took in the beautiful view. It was clear enough to view St. Croix to the South on May 19th. Back inside to look at what was in the cabinets, and we found that our shopping would be reduced, especially in the expensive spice department. Everything was sparkling, well organized, and most of all, everything was working. We enjoyed feeding the little yellow birds that came to the feeder on the west side of the deck. The sunsets were enjoyed in the perfectly sized pool, just right for the two of us. We usually have a hard time leaving St. John, but leaving Sunset Paradise was even harder. We had a great ten days. Huge thank you to our hosts."

"We are a group consisting of 5 adults visiting St. John, US VI for our annual US national park trip. Horizon's Edge villa was a very comfortable place- near restaurants, beaches, and hiking trails. Deck was very nice to lounge on with great views of Coral Bay, nice breeze, and lovely place to listen to the birds chirping. Kudos to Dwight, Property Manager, who's been very responsive to our needs!The book St. John Off the Beaten Path, one of the books we found in the Villa, was very helpful. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. Maria, John, Kitty, Mark and Li"

"This villa is outstanding it is exactly as advertised. The oven however was not working, Beth was able to get a toaster oven since the oven wasn’t fixed during our stay. I would definitely stay here again."

"Emily was sweet and the view is nice. I do feel that the listing is grossly misleading. The place is filthy, I do not think it has been cleaned in years. There was dust and cobwebs on everything, the dishes are dirty and the screens have holes that let bugs in. You cannot flush toilet paper or even when u pee. You have to save the toilet paper in the garbage and it sits in the heat all day. The bathroom grout has mold and the shower is not graded so you will have a lake in the bathroom when you shower (but they do put brooms in both showers so you can sweep the water into the drain as you shower). “Chefs kitchen” listed but we were told we could not use the oven (toaster oven only). Master is the only room with AC, they do offer fans but the fans have a thick layer of dirt and dust on them. No mattress just three layers of foam covered with a sheet. Furniture is just a wood couch/chairs with cheap lawn cushions, no comfortable seating anywhere. This place is so dirty that I didn’t want to use the AC in the master because I was worried because I was worried I would get legionnaires from it. I have exercise induced asthma but never had problems if not exercising. This place was so dirty that I was using my rescue inhaler constantly when there. Once I would go out for the day I was fine, only to have problems again within minutes of returning."
