Amazing view, loved the style with dark wood trim/doors, arches and turret windows. Comfy bed, soft sheets, loved the stone patio and nooks. Had a grwat breeze and no need for a/c. Slept with windows open and could here the wind, waves, birds and frogs. Great time, so relaxing.

We absolutely adored our stay at the Peter Bay Gatehouse, Penthouse! It was one of the best places we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The location was simply stunning, with easy access to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. The view from the penthouse was breathtaking, and we never wanted to leave because of its breathtaking beauty. We’re already looking forward to our next stay here in the future!

Extraordinary view

Staying at the gate house was wonderful. Walk to beach was a little longer than expected because of the sharp incline. Very nice place to stay!!

Tommy our host was outstanding! Did a great job checking us in and providing information. The owner was rather rude. Views from the beautiful porch were unbelievable and the place was pretty. Bathroom set up was odd, it was basically outside with windows someone might see you from. No soap, shampoo or welcoming coffee was offered and for the price of the place was disappointing, condo or not. No air conditioning unit was provided in living room, kitchen or bath and it was very humid and hot. Again for the price of this place was disappointing. We had a great time on St. John but I wouldn’t stay here again.

It’s one of those vacation experiences where I can say my second stay will be better because now we know what is needed to do to make Iran awesome experience. Needed: communication, extra money spent on supplies and organization because the provider provided one of the necessities to make it a wonderful stay. The view and accommodations were impeccable. But the services had much to be desired.

Surprisingly secluded. Beautiful but we weren’t ready to supply 100% of groceries. Walk to the beach is rough. Taxi drivers that were suggested were undependable. Tommy was a bit rude. We we early and communication was poor, but he was more sarcastic than helpful. You should offer a grocery run. I would have been glad to pay the fee. As I said, the place was clean and beautiful and we really appreciated Tommy getting the place clean very early to let us in early. You should strongly suggest a rental car .

KILLER view, gorgeous stars at night, adorable place, bright sunrise facing the suite (wake up to the sunrise either way- no curtains :). Best suited for two people in this Penthouse suite. Parking is very tight but workable. Excellent communication, easy to find from Cruz Bay. Very clean, well-appointed.

I loved the circular bedroom with the gorgeous views!! And we loved the private beach- we were usually the only ones on it. The location is wonderful and we would love to stay here again!!

The Peter Bay gate house Is truly beautiful, perfect for a couple for a private stay. The bed was very comfortable, with cool breezes throughout the night and gorgeous views in the morning. Kitchen was well appointed with the essentials needed for basic cooking including spices and oil. Absolutely would stay here again

Romantic and Great View in St John north shore

This is an amazing property. Unbelievable view. Great location. Hot tub under the stars. Grill a perfect meal on the large balcony. Only way to stay right in the middle of the North Shore without renting a big villa for a week.

RUDE owner, no responsibility for the problems we

Everything is fine with this rental until it's not. Small cockroaches were all over the kitchen, bath and bedroom. The hot tub, which is tiny, broke the first night we were there and the water was dirty. Thomas, the care taker, came out to fix it the next day and then it failed again. In the failing of the hot tub my computer which was plugged into a near-by outlet go completely fried and 100% failed. I knew my laptop was under warranty so I wasn't too upset, but there was no apology. Thomas, who was polite, then told us we could have a late check out, due to the issues with the tub. I asked specifically what late check out meant. He looked at the calendar and confirmed no one was coming the next day and said as long as we were out by 11PM, we would be fine. I explained we had a new rental the next day and we were not able to check in until after 2:30. She said that was fine. We went out snorkeling and arrived back at the home at 2:00 to pack up our items to find that all of our belongings were thrown into trash bags and thrown out the door, including my beautiful dresses, pressed shirts, finery and jewelry. Our electronics were thrown in brown bags and our milk was spilled over everything. I was super upset and shocked. Thomas explained they had a last minute check in and needed us and all our stuff out. When we reached out to the owner, he was RUDE, aggressive, took no responsibility and was utterly unapologetic. Nasty man! Not worth it!

No accountability for errors and rude!

Hot tub was unusable first night. Then the fuse blew on the tub, blowing both the hot tub and my computer. Next we were told late check out! I asked what time. "No one is coming tomorrow, so as long as your out by 11 pm," as they once encountered this. We came back at 2:00 PM to find out they had as last minute check in. Super nice clothes were in thrown in trash bags, our electronics in brown bags and milk spilled over over everything. Your important till your not. Richard never apologized or took responsibility! Tommy the caretaker was great, apologetic, and polite. Richard - was rude and overall Awful! Never going back and would never recommend!

Peter Bay Gatehouse was simply amazing!

We would definitely recommend the gatehouse and are definitely coming back! We were here on ourhoneymoon (1st time to the island) and we had an amazing experience overall! The gatehouse was gorgeous, private and had amazing views! It was also clean and beautiful inside. The beautiful gatehouse was surrounded by beautiful homes and beaches as well! We enjoyed the private beach along with our full kitchen that we prepared meals in when we didn't feel like going out to eat. Tommy was very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very comfortable that if we needed anything at all, he would be there to help us! Like I said I would definitely recommend the gatehouse and we are MOST definitely coming back and staying there again! Love love love it!!!!
