"This spacious apartment was in a perfect location for us -- within a 20-minute walk (or a 5-10-minute tram ride) to the museums, canal tour, and other sights at the top of our list, and quiet at night, away from the ruckus closer to Centraal Station. There is a terrific food hall on the same block, as well as access on the same block in the other direction. The check-in at the Hotel de Hallen (one block away) was effortless, and we were greeted by friendly and gracious folks behind the desk. ...

"Lovely place to stay and quite near the train station. For daytripping on the train it is a great location. Points of interest within Amsterdam were rather far away for walking and the closest tram stop was also a hike. But a canal tour was very nearby."

"This small, authentic, owner-operator historic hotel is an uncommon experience. It isn’t perfect, with a very narrow, winding staircase (no lift), but the old-school key access and features like original floors and windows, large floor space, and super friendly family staff, we felt like it was a great value and location for Amsterdam. "Excellent stay here, we had the triple room. Cleanliness was great, very spacious, and the shower was a dream. The only small complains are the lack of complimentary toiletries, and the pillows weren't the best, although these did not distract from the otherwise great room. The location is also great, near town but not too noisy. Would certainly visit again :)"
