Such a lovely hotel. Staff were extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Room was clean, tidy and spacious. Breakfast was exceptional with a wide range of food - everybody was catered for. Would recommend. Only slight hiccup - only one lift was working and became quite busy during peak times. Didn't mind walking down from the 4th floor, but walking up was something else 😊

Overall decent value for what we paid (compared to other Vienna hotels). We were three adults and had two beds. The beds and bedding were comfortable and the temperature was good. The room and hotel were kind of sparse decoration wise and the walls definitely needed some paint. Location wise not really walkable to the center of Vienna but it was across the street from a main metro line and a five min walk from another so we found it quite easy to get around the city. The breakfast buffet was a highlight with a yummy selection of cold cuts, cheese, warm dishes, etc although a little inconsistent in offerings. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I had a room upgrade which was much appreciated, this is my second stay and another is already booked. The only downsides were wifi problems that are being addressed and just how busy breakfast was, more space might be needed - but overall a great stay with a great staff team

Breakfast choice and the quality of the food were outstanding. Rooms were very clean but the decor in the bedrooms and some public areas were in need of an update. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Transport links to other parts of Vienna were extremely good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Having never been to Austria before, we took a chance on this property due to its location - less than 10 min subway ride to downtown, not to mention the subway station was a 5 min walk as well. We were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel at 10am after flying all night and our room was ready. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. The room was better than expected and very clean. Would absolutely stay here again

Nice but very noisy
Staff were very friendly and the included breakfast quite appetising with plenty of options. Biggest concern is because the hotel is quite old it is very noisy and you are awoken a lot by noise in the hallways by other residents. Rooms, especially the bathroom needs upgrading

There were not a single day without a deficiency on the room cleaning. Either bed not made completely, glass cup unclean, towels removed without reposistion. (when came back at night and call reception I was told to come down to pick up towels myself since person could not leave post), for example. Also, since hotel seems fully booked the breakfast room did not have enough staff and a couple of days the experience was not good. (waiting for tables to be prepare, late refill of coffee, food, etc) Personnel were friendly and food was good but overall not an excellent hotel.

Go see a movie if you are tired
We stayed in this part of Vienna for the first time. Due to bad knee we could not walk around so much. Perfect tram to us to Opera. Nearby is Burg kino showing the film The third man. This is a thriller about Vienna after the second world war. See also the Anker clock and the oldest church St Rupert. These are just a few spots to see

The hotel is old but very nice. Has access to public transportation and grocery store is right across street. Not too close to main attractions. The breakfast is simple but nice. The bar is opened till 2200 which is nice to have cocktails before going to sleep.

Comfortable, traditional hotel, slightly out of city centre but with easy transport to major sights. Enormous room, good sized bathroom and separate wc. Excellent choice for breakfast.

Location was great with access to local transport! Food was good with great selection for breakfast! Room was only cleaned once during our stay, on the last morning the cleaner cane to clean at 8.30am despite check out being 12.00! Staff on reception were slow when checking in and checking out. Only one person on reception hen checking in and a lot were waiting, two people dealing with one person when checking out and again a few were waiting. The hotel left a fruit bowl and a bottle of water in our room for this inconvenience. The hotel claims to be smoke free....there was a pungent smell of stale smoke in the bathroom and we tried to avoid uding the private bathroom because of this. You could also get the smell of smoke in the bedroom on the day of arrival, this is despte a no smoking sign on the bedroom door...not all befroom doors had this symbol! Wifi was not great and kept logging out. The handy phone was a huge plus as we needed it to navigate our way around the city!

Close to trans lines, wonderful accommodations!
I booked this hotel mostly to be close to the train lines for the rest of my Austria trip. Having traveled extensively throughout Western Europe, I felt I knew what to expect, but this place FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. The building, especially it's interior, is beautiful and ornate. The staff was universally fantastic, accommodating, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, even a little elegant. I will never stay anywhere else in Vienna They even had a gym!. Thanks for a great stay!

This was a very nice hotel with helpful friendly staff - the rooms were a little bit tired and could do with a facelift however the breakfast made up for it - they were amazing - there was so much choice - I have never seen so many different varieties of bread and different choices in the continental spread. There was also hot breakfast including bacon sausage eggs mushrooms and some local variations. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Hotel misrepresented on website. Only single beds exist at this location. Desk staff say not one King or queen size bed in entire building yet these show on website. Fraud. Requesting refund.
