Question 1

What other neighbourhoods are similar to Vauban?

Accepted Answer

While Vauban is a unique area, other neighbourhoods in Provence that offer a similar blend of quality, convenience, and a relaxed, upscale feel include Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and Eygalieres.

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is a great alternative for those who appreciate Vauban's blend of history and modern comforts. This town is well-known for its elegant boutiques, art galleries, and excellent dining options, all set within a charming old town with narrow, winding streets. It's also home to the Roman ruins of Glanum and the monastery of Saint-Paul de Mausole, where Van Gogh was a patient. This area would suit couples looking for a sophisticated and culturally rich escape.

Eygalieres offers a quieter, more secluded experience, yet still provides high-quality amenities similar to Vauban. This picturesque hilltop village boasts stunning views of the Alpilles mountains and is dotted with high-end villas and guesthouses.
