"The room was clean and staff were friendly. . The rooms in the back, are quiet but overlooks to houses. The rooms at the front of the hotel are noisy. The hotel is way over priced at over $300 a night. The location is really bad, there are a couple of restaurants that are not the best and there is nothing to see walking distance. When going to downtown you have to go thru a really bad area with sidewalks full of homeless and drugged/drunken people. I definitely would not recommend."

"There were a couple of issues in the room: no label letting someone know the shower valve needed to be pulled out before turning to get the water flow. A rip in the carpet that could be an issue for someone snagging their No table or chairs on the premium balcony. The stafff were all friendly and helpful. The dining room staff were excellent. Food in the evening / happy hour offerings were very good."

"My second time here. The staff are always friendly and nice. They are the best part about this place other than the pools. Always friendly and nice. The place is dated and needs a refurb badly. Only part of the lights in our room worked. But we didn’t make a fuss as we were only staying one night. The only really issue I saw was people leaving dishes/cups "

"Hotel was great and very clean. Shuttle to and from the airport was very helpful and reliable, running every 30 minutes. We used the hotel as a base for exploring Vancouver. 10-15 minute walk to Kapstan Skytrain station and 20 minutes straight into the city centre from there. The hotel was great and the staff excellent and helpful. One member of staff was unhelpful and rude when I left my car at porte-cochere to help my wife carry four cases to our room. Despite the fact I had checked with reception that it was okay to do this and they said it was absolutely fine, the staff member approached me and asked me why I was parked there and repeatedly told me I was wrong to do so until I invited him to speak to the front desk with me. He then walked away. Also at one point during our stay two of the three lifts were out of order meaning long waits for them. This was a temporary problem however and was resolved quickly. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and will use it again when I return to Vancouver."

"Grossly overpriced. Nice to have help getting to the cruise ship terminal during a marathon. Especially taking the luggage to the ship. The staff are underpaid and silently protesting. One person had been there over 30 years without a raise. For the price per night the staff should be compensated."
