FOUND Hotel Carlton, Nob Hill

"Good hotel, squarely between nob hill and the tenderloin. The keypad on one of our rooms was a bit finicky, which we didn't enjoy, but otherwise the rooms were clean and well maintained. Due to its location it's a bit loud at night, which wasn't an issue for my husband and I, but bothered my mom, who's less comfortable in cities. There was a security guard at night, and the hotel felt very safe to us. No parking, but easy walk to several BART stops and stations, which is inexpensive and efficient. You can walk to the wharf if you're in fair to middling shape, almost entirely downhill."

"Went here for a staycation and it was beautiful. The beds were soft, furniture beautiful, and cute pictures to take of the furniture and in the lounge! A very nice and quiet ambiance."

"Good location with lots of restaurants in the vicinity. There's a good coffee shop next door and a mediterranean restaurant connected to the hotel. The room was small however and hard to move around. The sink in the bathroom was especially small and there were no surfaces for putting down toiletries. They have a continental breakfast which I didn't partake in but it looked OK. Staff was friendly but didn't have a lot of info about the city. Overall I would say it's a good deal if you're looking to save money."
