The best area to stay in Tunes is the central part of the village, particularly around the railway station and the main streets like Rua da Estação.

This area is the heart of Tunes, offering convenient access to local amenities and transport links. It's a compact and walkable village centre, with a few local shops, cafes, and restaurants dotted around. The railway station is a key landmark here, connecting Tunes to other parts of the Algarve and beyond.

For travellers using public transport to explore the Algarve, this central area is ideal. Its proximity to the train station makes day trips to coastal towns or other inland locations straightforward.

The best time to go to Tunes, Faro District, Portugal, is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October).

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures and less intense heat than the peak summer months. You'll find fewer crowds, making it easier to enjoy the region's attractions, beaches, and restaurants. The sea is also warm enough for swimming during these times.

For those looking to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or exploring the natural parks, spring and autumn are ideal. The countryside is green and vibrant, and the temperatures are comfortable for longer excursions.
