Great little hotel

Great stay at Layla. Excellent service, good drinks on roof top bar. Very good location in Tulum peubla, close to good restaurants and bars. Don’t go for the hanging bed. Takes up the whole room and makes lots of noice.

The hotel was beautiful and the customer service was awesome. Small boutique hotel in town that was walking distance to everything we wanted. The decor, rooms, and pool were all so unique and memorable. The staff was very accommodating and helped us get a reservation at a beach club that suited our needs. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that it wasn’t by the beach but the owner said he is in the process of building one there. We will definitely stay there once it is completed.

Tulum is a lovely little boutique hotel in downtown Tulum. The customer service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The air conditioning works like a charm, and it is so crisp in the rooms when you need a break from the heat.! Breakfast is very tasty, as are the burgers and the hand-crafted mojitos. The passion fruit was the best. Downside, the drive from Cancun airport is long. If I had to do it all over, I would do private transportation. You do need to leave the area for any excursions. There is not much to do in the general downtown area.

Property was clean and well kept. Staff was attentive and friendly. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood where you can easily walk to restaurants and entertainment. We stayed in the room with the floating bed suspended by rope. I found the space awkward. The bed took up the entire room space. It was no room for luggage, no night stand to place anything. This made for your room to get/look cluttered quickly. Also in the shower area there is no bench or area to place your shower gels or shampoos. You will need to place items on floor in shower or reach outside the shower to the sink counter for your items. Room is just poorly constructed and small details not considered. The elevator did not work after day one. We were located on the 3rd floor. Overall the hotel is still beautiful I just would not recommend the room suspended by ropes especially for two people.
