"The room was in need of some maintenance. Closet doors were in need of some paint repairs; the bathroom tile had missing grout; the towel rack was loose. Complimentary breakfast was very good with fresh eggs or omelets cooked to order. The staff was very attentive and accommodating."

"This little gem is the best find that we happened upon years ago, it’s like a little paradise,, a courtyard well maintained with beautiful flowers with manicured grounds, the sauna is one of the main reasons we stay there. The people, Lisa in particular is the other reason!! She runs the place smoothly and with professionalism and is so friendly. We consider her a friend and that place is our home away from home. It’s got a rustic feel in the rooms!! Oh and the coffee and free muffins every morning are a big plus! Shhhhhh tho don’t give this place too much advertising, we want it to stay as quaint and wonderful and ready for our next reservation!!"

Budget Lodge Ruidoso

Budget Lodge Ruidoso

8/10 Good
"This motel was exactly what I expected for the low price- an older place that could use some updates, but clean and centrally located. Breakfast was supplied, but was very basic- cereal, eggs, make-your-own waffles, mini muffins, and plain coffee. Being on the main drag, road noise was pretty bad, but firing up the in-room a/c fan drowned out most of it through the night. Parking lot entries are a little difficult- one is steep and narrow, the other opens near a busy intersection. I would stay again, if on another m/c trip on my own, but would never dream of bringing my wife here."
