Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I really liked the free coffee, tea and water and apples near the reception. Room was very clean, high standard. It was a nuce touch that they offered a voucher for a free drink of choice if you did not need daily room service, helping environment and guests at the same time. Would definitely recommend.

A good central base - staff were helpful with maps, taxis etc. taxi drop off is a little confusing as at the back of the building away from reception - in the end no big deal.

Took 3 days for someone to change a lightbulb. Communication at this hotel doesn't seem very good. The girl working at night was not very helpful for a variety of reasons. Asked her the second night why the light wasn't fixed and she couldn't tell me if someone came to look while i was gone. Had to ask the guy the next morning and it was as if there was no request even made to look into it. Bought a beer and thought it was a twist off cap. Had to go back down to get it opened. The least she could have done is offered the bottle opener before I went upstairs. Was pleased with the breakfast except for the strange guy who would come over and ask me questions. I think he asked me if I wanted a drink. Both times i had a coffee in front of me. Could do without those weird interactions. Also could have done without those slamming doors. With all the technology we have, why do hotel doors need to be so loud? The room was nice but again, these ridiculous showers with a doorless opening that lets water flow into the bathroom and soaking the bath mat. Horrible design!!!!!! Would be a great hotel if they could get their communication/ co-ordination skills up and get a better shower design that keeps water OFF of the bathroom floor.

Loved the rooms except for all the noise in the back of the building. So loud until late. Breakfast was nice and the gym is tiny but everything is very clean. Nice beds and AMAZING shower.

The staff st the Front Desk was really very kind and helpful, the room was big and modern and the shower great. Breakfast was very good and varied and I loved the Roman theme decoration all around, very appropiate considering the Roman past of the city of Trier.

Great location, beautiful property, decent breakfast. Staff at breakfast were wonderful. However, as an avid traveler to ACCOR hotels, I have never experienced such a dismissive, unwelcoming front desk. The staff person needs to be made aware that this can drive people away.

You could not get a better location for walking the pedestrianized areas as well as take in the sites and food (there is a great restaurant in the courtyard and the pizza one is said to be great too.) A bit surprised as the website suggests free parking but it is 20 Euros/Day.

My only complaint is lack of any type of glass/cup for water. In order to have a drink of water, I had to put my head under the water faucet!

The price was the main driver of my choice to stay at this property. It had good value for the accommodations. The room was cold and I was not able to sufficiently warm it up despite the room being a small footprint. I would stay again if necessary, but do not plan to use ibis in the future as the comport level was not to my liking.

Value for Money, conveniently located with shops and restaurants within steps. Public bus stop close by if need to travel to bigger malls like Rado (supermarket opens up to 10 pm). Limited on-site parking lots but we were lucky to find one.

Well on the information provided we had booked a room for one large bed we got two twins. The soap dispenser in the room was empty for the bathroom sink and the toilet roll was not even exchanged there was only like one hand full left before we had to use the second roll. Our room was all the way at the end of this long hallway and next to the service elevator. They were nice enough to let us temporarily park near the hotel to drop off our luggage but then we had to park off site for the night. All in all I would not of paid as much money as I did for this hotel room. Please make sure that when you show options for things you that it’s not guaranteed. I would have definitely picked a different hotel just as soon as I found out there was not enough parking at the hotel.

This should not happen, next time let us please know and we will replace it immediately! Our parking spaces directly at the hotel, in the middle of the beautiful old town, are unfortunately limited to 25 spaces. However, due to the public parking garage in the immediate vicinity, we can offer our guests a very good alternative. The parking fees are based on the conditions of such a popular, always busy city. This is a nice modern hotel with convenient proximity to Trier's major market plazas. It works well. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had three people to our room, with one person using a wall bed. We wish there had been an easy way to put the wall bed up so that we could have used it in couch-form before retiring for the night. We couldn't figure out how to put it away so the room space was completely dominated by the normal beds plus the wall bed. No place to sit but a bed. I also found the interior color scheme a bit unappealing. A sort of lime green vinyl. Neither cozy nor attractive.

This was a nice and clean hotel. It was in walking distance to several of the main attractions. The only complaint was that it was to have air conditioning but it was not cool in our room.

Helpful and friendly staff. Centrally located in the middle of Trier within 15-20 minutes of everything to see and do. Located next to the Trier Galleria, numerous shops, and restaurants of various cuisines. Good European breakfast buffet with warm scrambled eggs, bacon, and hard boiled eggs. The only issue - very limited parking on the hotel premises but one block away from the City Parkhaus that’s open 24/7 but charges 15.30 euro per day.

Stunning building in wonderful location
We had a wonderful time at the Ibis in Trier. The location is amazing - right in the city center tucked away in a stunning courtyard so that you can still enjoy some peace and quiet. Even though the hotel has a very modern and fresh look it still has lots of character as it’s housed in the old post office building with high ceilings. The staff was very attentive and very welcoming despite the current Corona situation which can be quite demanding. The only thing we noticed was that the piping system is loud so that you can hear when your neighbors above you use the toilet... at least that was the case in our room. But overall we can only recommend the Ibis in Trier and would come back to the town only to stay here again.

I stayed one night...the location is good and breakfast was good, there are no English channels on the TV, the room was a basic Ibis, the staff was not very friendly, overall I might only stay again due to location.
