We had a great time as usual!

Second time renting this cottage, it’s always a fantastic time, host is amazing. House is beautiful property is gorgeous. We had a blast will be coming back for sure.

Buckhorn Family weekend

Great place to stay for multigenerational group. Large private home with great sleeping arrangements. Access to the water and beach was great. Awesome fire pit and gam3s room.

Beautiful cottage and amenities for large group

Lots of room for our family of 14! Individual rooms with on suites, water activities, large kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and lots of seating (indoor and outdoor) to accommodate all of us

Great property

We really enjoyed the property, great rooms,kitchen, entertainment area with pool table as well as Volleyball net outside. There were many things to keep the family engaged, we would come back for sure.

We had a group of 12 guys here for the weekend and had an absolute blast. Even though the weather didn’t hold out we had plenty of space and stuff to do inside. The cottage will blow you away

Amazing stay in Paradisd

Such a beautiful property with wonderful space. The private beach volleyball court is an absolute plus. Upper deck is very spacious for large groups and all 3 floors very well maintained. Would recommend anytime for anyone especially a large group. This is truly a one of a kind property

Family fishing trip

We rented this amazing cottage for a family fishing trip. It’s clean, spacious, well stocked - and the many bathrooms were much appreciated! Hot tub and fire pit by the lake were great after our days out on the lake fishing (which was fantastic). We’re definitely coming back next year- this place had everything we needed - and much more.

Wonderful time in Paradise?

Chris' cottage was absolutely perfect for our group of five young families! There was everything we could have needed including highchairs, a room with a crib, another room with bunk beds and loads of space to run around. The kitchen is great for large groups with two stoves, two dishwashers and plenty of dishes. Chris was very accommodating and check-in was a breeze. Would highly recommend!!!!

Annual Friends Bike Trip

We had a wonderful time for our group of 11 people. Despite a day of rain, we enjoyed the pool table, games, hot tub and ability to just relax in a wonderful setting. When the sun came out we hit the bike trails in the Kawarthas and then came back to kayak, swim, and continue to relax. Kitchen allowed us to easily get our meals prepared, bedrooms were comfortable, and there were many areas in and out of the house to relax and catch up with good friends.

Perfect Group Stay

This property is magnificent! The view of the lake in every room is beautiful. The double oven and modern appliances were great for cooking larger meals, and the number of bathrooms and beds made it so that everybody had their own and more. The beds were also super comfortable. A note for future renters: You may want to bring your own olive oil, pepper, parchment/aluminum foil and coffee filters. Otherwise, the kitchen is very well stocked with utensils and dishes! Chris also provides you with dishwasher detergent and dish soap as well. Bringing water bottles may also be helpful, just because the water filter in the fridge is a little slow, but still works. Thank you SO much for hosting us, Chris! Your property is perfect, and you were a delight to communicate with.

Weekend Getaway with friends

We were looking for a place to get away with a few friends as we had not seen each other for a long time due to the pandemic. We found this cottage through VRBO and it met all of our requirements - reasonably out of the city to call it a getaway but not so far to drive, big enough to accommodate our group of 5 families, water facing preferably and good amenities with easy access to nearby town for dining options. Chris (the owner) responded to my request right away and confirmed availability for the dates we were looking for. The cottage is simply amazing - new and very well maintained, perfect for a large group and private access to the water. It also has a very nice entertainment area in the basement (with pool table, air hockey et al), hot tub and a modern kitchen with high-end appliances. Our gang loved it so much that we're aiming to make this an annual event at this cottage. The town of Buckhorn is only a 5-minute drive from the cottage for those who want to dine out. Chris was the perfect host and very responsive to all our needs and questions!

Great property

Clean and well equipped cottage. The communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed the many decks to hang out on. The times when it does rain you have pool, shuffleboard etc to play. Plus the bottom deck is covered. Good fishing. Only thing I’d say is bring water shoes. It’s shallow with some rocks and weds etc. Would recommend.

Winter Wonderland Retreat

This was the perfect place for 5 couples to have a winter reunion. It offered us a generous amount of space to allow 10 adults to mingle, play games, cook, and eat meals cooked on site.

Great cottage

Great spacious cottage on a beautiful lake. Lots of rooms and comfy beds. Kitchen has double oven and two dishwashers which was handy for cooking with a large group.

Perfect Christmas

There were 10 family members renting this property ranging from 5 years old to 77. There were plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms, plus there was a large game room which got plenty of use. The large kitchen, double oven and two dishwashers make it easy to take care of large group meals and clean-up. A highlight was the snowfall and subsequent tobogganing(supplied by the host). Especially for the Australians in the family We were very relieved to be allowed in a day early since the day we’re supposed to arrive was a huge blizzard. The host was most helpful and accommodating.

Great Family Get-away

Overall this was an excellent property for a larger family get together. The property was well maintained. Everyone enjoyed their time inside and out. The fireplace on the main level was really great.

Looks nice but not the best construction

The place looks nice but the showers have no water pressure and dribbles down, the sink faucets discharge water at the edge of the sink so washing your hands is uncomfortable. Also in the upstairs shower, the hot and cold labels should be switched because when you turn it to hot cold water comes out and vice versa.

Thanksgiving weekend

Whole family loved the cottage. Beautiful autumn background and views of the lake. House was large and fit our group well. There was lots of space to spread out. Thanks for a great stay.
