"The property is located near all amenities, very well maintained and helpful staff."

"Food was amazing. Staff was exemplary. The grounds, location and view out the window was unparalleled. But… Horrible climb to third floor with rickety stairs and zero elevator… very difficult with luggage and a baby. Spiders in room. Bathroom FLOOR was covered in what seemed like wallpaper… was wet the entire time and unsanitary. Bathroom tub plug was broken and wouldn’t drain. Housekeeping did not come to our room and we ran out of toilet paper twice in two days in the family room. Staff are overworked trying to manage both pub and formal restaurants every night. Meant long wait times to be seated and served. But the staff absolutely did their best and were fantastic. Could be a wonderful place, really needs some updates. Fish was delicious, but one was undercooked. Mom and baby in our party got sick from it."

"We stayed 3 nights and was told that if we didn’t agree to confirming breakfast at check in for each morning then the charge would go from £10.00 per person to £12.50 per person. That is just a rip off! We decided to eat breakfast in Fort William each morning at Wetherspoons and have dinner out of the hotel as a protest! It wasn’t about the extra charge entirely, but the principle! In my opinion we should be able to choose in the morning if we want to eat at the hotel. At that time we should be charged £10.00 per person not the elevated cost of £12.50."

"Hotel under much needed construction. Hasn't seen paint or a face-lift since probably the 90s or before. Even the sign on the hotel was missing letters. I said i wanted to cancel second night and they never called me back to discuss. Awful property. Strong avoid. I had to give it 1 star as 0 wasn't an option."

"It is a wonderful place, very clean, a warm welcome and a perfect breakfast."

"Room was small (only about 18” on each side of the bed) which made luggage and clothes difficult to manage. Bathroom was nice with heated floors. Room was dark, which didn't make it feel clean. Breakfast was good. Overall it was really expensive (~250 pounds) for one night, which seemed very overpriced for what we received. Not sure I would stay here again."
