Our stay was nice and comfortable. First time staying somewhere with no staff and self check in but it was no issue checking in. The area was really nice. We were never bothered by anyone. The train station being so close was very convenient. All in all we felt safe and comfortable while staying in our room.

Very nice location. Room and accommodations are also very nice. Check-in was extremely difficult and confusing; took multiple attempts and phone calls before it was resolved. Not having any staff in the premises or a front desk seemed like a non-issue when making reservations but it turned out I missed having that resource available.
The room was in excellent and clean condition. The only reason I am giving it 3 Stars is because Expedia was now upfront that there were no elevator and there ’s no front reception in this hotel clearly right in the description. It was very frustrating when we arrived and we realized there’s no front reception and the instructions in the Expedia email were not clear.
the hotel was beautiful and quiet in a busy city like Tokyo we couldn't hear any outside noise at night. the amenities in the hotel were also very nice.
only thing could of been better would be some more and comfy pillows. would happily stay here again
Good: Location (close to train station, restaurants, convenience store), Clean, Laundry in restroom, Kitchen, Easy self-check-in in multiple languages via touch-screen interface (fast, good for introverts, no checkout needed), Quiet, Good WiFi.
Bad: Self-check-in limited hours despite no-staff system, No dishwashing gloves.
Notes: Not wheelchair accessible (property entrance, rooms).
This place was nice & quiet. It’s more spacious than most of the hotel rooms you can book in Tokyo. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Short walk to the train station. Some good shops & restaurants nearby.
In a quiet more suburban area of Shibuya with some great local bakeries and ramen places, and the usual lawsons etc very closeby. We enjoyed coming back here compared to the very hectic Tokyo streets. While it’s not in the midddle of the madness it’s well connected to public transport, and was a good change. Useful to know it has a washing machine but no detergent or a dryer, but very close laundromats for drying

Modern, clean, and with a small kitchenette and washing machine. The stairs are steep and narrow and there’s no elevator, so keep this in mind if you have accessibility issues.

Really liked this property. Only had a few issues with the hotel. Other than there’s actually no staff there the neighborhood was nice and lots of small eateries around. We had issues with the door lock. Which wasn’t operating properly. Also it’s a walk up so keep that in mind. The room is actually a lot bigger than most hotels so that’s a plus.

Disliked: Amenities
Location is perfect as it is in walking distance to Hatagaya metro station. There are multiple business in close distance to the property (convenience stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, bars, restaurants, hair dressers, laundries, etc). The property is newish and kept in very good conditions. It is perfect for just a couple of days stay. However, it is very inconvenient for staying more than 2 days. The reason is that it is tiny. You a confortable bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom (there is a washing machine but, there is not a dryer). It does not have a proper table were you can seat and eat. Neither has proper seats. There are very very limited kitchen utensils. We booked this property as it was marketed as an apartotel. However, it is a crossover between a tiny hotel room and an apartotel with inconvenient forniture. It is a pity because, even using the same space but, with clever forniture and kitchen utensils the effect would be much different. The location though is second to none. Also, the building looks solid and clean. Hope feedback is taken and an interior designer is hired to improve the product.
This property always has problems of difficulties of check-in using display pad with slow responsibilities and electric door access key touch pad with low battery, and smell of sewage in the room. Although cleaning work of house keeping seems to be well done, however engineering work of sewage system cleaning is not properly done by the owner management due to cutting the cost policy. Judging from the location of Hatagaya closing to down town Shinjuku Station and level of the facilities of this hotel, the price of the room is rather expensive. Better to find out others, if you can.
We arrived late afternoon/early evening.
It was hot in Tokyo! There was self check-in outside, that took a little longer than we had hoped, since we had been travelling all day, was tired, hot, and had to look for documents for check-in. Once we completed that step, we walked into a clean place (we had 2 twin beds). It was a culture shock to see the differences compared to America, but after a week, we adjusted. There is limited space to hang clothes or put them away, so my adult daughter and I kept most of our things in our luggage on the floor. There is a stove top, small refrigerator, and sink to cook, but we ate out. The place is in a residential area, and very quiet. It is walking distance to the bus stop and train station. By the end of our week, we were feeling like we lived the way the local people do.
